False Holocaust Memoirist in Talks to Publish Story as Fiction

Herman Rosenblat got his book pulled from Penguin due to the fact that he lied about the memoir.  The memoir claimed to tell the love story between Herman and his wife who allegedly met as children in a concentration camp.  Confronted with historical facts that discounted his story, Rosenblat finally confessed to his agent that the story was indeed fiction.  Now York House Press, a small print publisher in White Plains NY is in serious discussion to publish the Rosenblat story as fiction.

There will always be smaller presses willing to take the notoriety to sell a few books–especially as this ghost written book is probably clean copy, ready to go.

I hate that this story may have a happy publishing ending.

    I wish I could say I’m surprised.

    Also, what Kalen said.

So slinking away with one’s tail between one’s legs after being caught out in egregious behaviour is old hat these days, huh?
