Romance writers (Marjorie Liu), mainstream fiction authors (Jodi Picoult) and now rock band bassist for My Chemical Romance, Mikey Way, has “penned an eight-page story that will appear in DC Comics’ special “Halloween ’08″ book, which hits stores Wednesday.”

The lead singer for My Chemical Romance and Mikey Way’s older brother, Gerard Way, writes The Umbrella Academy which won an Eisner this year. I’m not sure about a trend for fiction writers to try their hand at comics, but I have a feeling Mikey Way’s foray into comics has more to do with his brother.
