Denise Brown Backs Out of Confrontation on Oprah

Denise Brown has decided to not go on the Oprah show on September 13. According to Brown, at the time she agreed to the show, the book was still being shopped around. Brown wanted to make the case for the book’s non publication but now feels that appearing on the show would be “moot” given that the publisher is rushing to make the book available on September 13 to coincide with the show itself. Beaufort Books, the publisher of the tome, has said it will print 125,000 copies to meet the 116,000 pre-orders. Barnes and Noble still refuses to stock it in the stores.
