Amazon Stock Declines Despite Record Holiday Sales
The Tuesday after Christmas, Amazon announced that it had a record breaking holiday sales. There were orders in excess of four billion placed on December 11 and it was able to ship more than 99% on schedule, shipping more than 3.4 million units on a single day. Yet, investors are down and the stock is declining. Today, Citigroup marked Amazon’s stock as a “sell.”
