What are the Golden Hearts? I don’t think I’ve heard of a single one of their nominees.

@libraryaddict – I was commenting that we had read all of the con temp series except for Karen Templeton. We’ll get Jayne on that!

Congrats to all the winners! I’m SO happy for Jill Shalvis. While I’ve had an up-and-down relationship with her books, I really enjoy the way she interacts with her readers and I love her blog.

Yay! I’m so glad for Jill Shalvis! She is such a neat person. I loved Simply Irresistible and I’m glad it won.

So the Golden Hearts are unpublished books? Beauty and the Ballplayer by Arlene Hittle — This title intrigues me. I hope it gets published. Could there be anything better than a cross of baseball and a beauty & the beast retelling?!

I just looked over the winners and I only read two books that won!

    Congratulations to all the winners.

“And One Last Thing” by Molly Harper – I read this one and really liked it. Look for a review in the next few weeks.

@Jayne It sounds chick lit-ish? I wanted you to know that there are a couple of new southern fiction authors to look for. Have to check my notes, but I kept thinking, “I bet Jayne will like these books”.

    Jul 02, 2011 @ 09:11:38

@Jane: Yes, I’d say it’s closer to chick lit than straight contemporary.

@willaful You’ll have heard of some of us within the next year or two, as we’ve sold our manuscripts. And I hope we’ll be getting more good news along those lines. I’m proud to be associated with the lovely ladies that make up this years’ GH class. Congratulations to the winners.

I echo Aislinn’s comments (and I think she may be one to watch).

The Golden Heart Class of 2011 — nicknamed the Starcatchers — is one fantastic group of talented and supportive writers and soon-to-be-authors.

Thanks so much for posting the GH finalists and results in addition to the RITA list, and many, many congrats to all the winners.
