GIVEAWAY: What’s Next for Berkley
NOTE: This post will close it’s comments tonight at 8 PM CST and the winners will be posted in the A.M. Jane
I have SEVENTEEN Berkley ARCs of titles scheduled to be published in March, April and May including NYT bestselling authors like Christine Feehan and Lora Leigh. Cindy Hwang, executive editor of Berkley, has donated these books to giveaway to highlight some of their spring titles. Play the slideshow (there is a 4 sec delay) or click through the covers and then take a look at the highlights below. Drop a note in the comments with the title of three books you would like and anything else you think Berkley should know. Winners will be picked at random. I will note that Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy has been read once (by me). It’s hysterical and contains the following line “You are the hottest biscuit this side of the gravy boat.”
****
This spring, Berkley has some really fabulous romances coming up, and it was especially hard to narrow down the list to just two highlights per month. So I cheated a bit and included three books in May. But there are many other exciting Berkley romances not mentioned here, so to find out about all the other current and upcoming books, check out www.berkleyjoveauthors.com.
MARCH
- Known for her bestselling Psy-Changeling series, Nalini Singh has written a new paranormal series, this time featuring vampires and angels. It’s darker and even edgier than her Psy-Changeling series, and I think of it as a bit of a hybrid between paranormal romance and urban fantasy, so the category on the spine is Urban Fantasy Romance–a first for Berkley. You may think that you’ve already read every possible version possible of vampires–with ANGELS’ BLOOD, I guarantee that Nalini brings a real freshness to her world, a new twist that readers wouldn’t have read before. Plus, it has all the sexual tension and passionate romance that readers have come to expect from Nalini. All that and one of the sexiest heroes ever (Raphael is definitely on my personal top 5 list)!
- Robin Schone is no stranger to romance readers–she’s been one of the most innovative and popular names in erotic romance for years–a true groundbreaker. Now, she makes her Berkley debut with CRY FOR PASSION. Set in Victorian London, CRY FOR PASSION is sexy, intense, complex, and emotional–vintage Schone. Berkley also has a special bonus for e-book readers–a free e-book of her previous historical romance, SCANDALOUS LOVERS, is bundled with the e-book of CRY FOR PASSION, so e-book readers will get a great two-fer!
APRIL
- Jory Strong made her name writing erotic romance e-books for Ellora’s Cave, and she makes her Berkley debut with GHOSTLAND, a fascinating blend of urban fantasy and sexy paranormal romance–the second Berkley title that is categorized Urban Fantasy Romance. GHOSTLAND is set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by plague and war, and where paranormals have come out of hiding, and where society is sharply divided along paranormal lines. A struggle for power among the ruling classes may allow the Djinns to emerge from their self-imposed exile to reclaim their rightful place in the world. Jory has created a fascinating, complex world rich with mythology, and grounded it with a fabulous romance as well.
- Known for her popular military-set category romances, DEFENDER is the first in Catherine Mann’s fabulous "Dark Ops Defenders" series-’sexy romances featuring an elite squadron of fighter pilots who will do anything for their country-or their women! When a USO boat goes down in flames, test pilot Jimmy Gage pulls a scantily clad Chloe Nelson out of the shark-filled Mediterranean. Although she is grateful and he’s hot as the fire that took the boat down, the last thing Chloe needs is a jet-jock to be her bodyguard-’until she inadvertently finds herself closer to Gage than she ever expected, and side by side in a dangerous mission. DEFENDER will be followed by HOTSHOT in May 2009, and RENEGADE in Jan 2010.
MAY
- Erin McCarthy returns to the stock car racing world with HARD AND FAST, the follow-up to FLAT-OUT SEXY. And if it’s possible, HARD AND FAST is even funnier than FLAT-OUT SEXY. Erin is fabulous combining smart and sexy with laugh-out-loud funny, and there were moments in HARD AND FAST I literally could not stop laughing. The heroine, Imogen, is a character very close to my heart (I want to be Imogen when I grow up!), and her romance with race car driver Ty is bone-meltingly sensual. One of my favorite moments in the book is the camping scene–I’ll just say I have a similar wardrobe to Imogen, and also learned the hard way that it’s not the most appropriate wardrobe for hiking.
- SEA LORD by Virginia Kantra is the third book in the Children of the Sea series, which is her selkie paranormal romance series. In case you don’t know, selkies are half-human, half-seal–on land, they’re human but transform to seals in the water–as long as they still have their pelt. Take away their pelt, and you take away their ability to transform. SEA LORD is the story of Lucy Hunter and Conn ap Llyr, the selkie prince, and Virginia doesn’t disappoint. Virginia’s selkies are some of the most fascinating paranormal creatures around, and I love how she develops the selkies through their relationships (romantic and otherwise) with humans in her books. Lucy and Conn’s romance is both epic and wonderfully intimate, and SEA LORD really delivers–both on the emotional front, and on the action front. The stakes are high in SEA LORD, and readers will feel every moment.
- From bestselling Deirdre Martin, best known for her hockey romances, comes WITH A TWIST. It’s the first in Martin’s fabulous new series about a large, loving Irish American family named the O’Briens who own the Wild Hart, a pub in the heart of New York City. Readers will love the Irish flair and charming cast of characters as they watch newspaper reporter Quinn O’Brien fall in love with Natalie Bocuse, the sister of the heroine in JUST A TASTE. They will also be pleased with surprise appearances from some of the heroes of Martin’s hockey books.
Cindy Hwang is the executive editor of Berkley who is actively seeking fresh voices in romance. In her spare time, she enjoys Bravo Reality TV and cinema remakes of comic books.

I’ve been waiting for Ghostland – it looks great!
I wish the slideshow had a “hurry up” option. I admit I didn’t make it to the end; I didn’t have it in me to sit here for over a full minute just to watch covers go buy this morning.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 04:32:32
I would Like to win the following three books if chosen.
Her Ladyship’s Companion has an appealing cover and I love books where the female knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it.
Sea Lord’s cover intrigued me with its shadowy male figure – the tilt of head and shoulders says he’s in trouble, and a hero in trouble always appeals to me.
Angels’ Blood – I’m a (no pun intended) sucker for vampire books, and am fascinated by the way each author makes her own universe and laws for them. I would inhale a book like this.
I hope I’m chosen, as each of these would be great reads.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 04:52:00
I would like to win the following 3 books: Burning Wild by Christine Feehan, Mage by Jean Johnson, and Ghostland by Jory Strong.
I buy ebooks rather than print whenever I can. It would be great if all the ebooks are consistently released on the same day as the print books.
I believe Berkley does do that. If I’m correct, I really appreciate the fact and hope this will continue.
Thanks.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:01:45
Hi
I would like the following three books if chosen:
Ghostland-because the cover is gorgeous
Hard and Fast- because you said it was funny and funny contemporary romances are the only kinds of straight contemporaries I really like.
Angel’s blood – because it sounds good from the reviews I’ve read.
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but some of the books offered are series titles. The Mage, for example is number 8 in a series and I think it would be good to know if this is the kind of series a person can enter at Book 8 or if you really need to read the preceding books.
Thanks
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:03:54
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra (based on a friend’s rec)
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy (based on your rec)
Ghostland by Jory Strong (for the cover)
My gripe at the moment is that it took me a week to get Angel’s Blood in Australia. This isn’t really specific to Berkley, but to publishers in general, particularly for books for which no local edition is published. It would be great if we could get new releases at the same time as the US.
Also, some of those covers are just gorgeous.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:17:09
Hi
I read the entry at Nalini Singh’s Blog about that giveaway and really woulkd like to take part, but problem: I’m from Gemany. Is it possible for me to be chosen?
Well regardless of that, to chose was really hard, since they are all great books, but if I would win I would like to have Burning Wild (love Christine Feehans Leopard Series), The Mage by Jean Johnson and Lora Leighs Nauti Intention.
Thanks and Greetings from Germany ;)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:18:57
Thank you so much for the chance of winning a book. I would like the chance to win the following books:
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
Defender by Catherine Mann
With A Twist by Deidre Martin
I appreciate all the great authors you have given us.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:19:07
I would love to be the winner of
1. Ghostland – Jory Strong –
Cindy – I think your a genius for signing Jory Strong, I own every single ebook and will own every single paperback, her writing is pretty much guarenteed to satisfy my booklust with enthralling plots, captivating characters and supernova hot sex scenes.
2. Burning Wild – Christine Feehan
Cindy – I have been dieing for a new leopard book for years and I’m ecstatic that Christine has wrote another one, please encourage her for more :)
3. Hard and Fast – Erin Mcarthy.
Cindy – Erin is a relatively new author to me but what I have read is top quality, either making me smile or fan myself to try and cool down.
All in all I thankyou for signing some of my fave authors and their awesome series…
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:26:03
I would like to win:
The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy. I have the first book in the series and it looks like a lot of fun.
Ghostland by Jory Strong. I’ve seen this book mentioned at a few sites and it’s on my to-buy list. Great cover!
With a Twist by Deirdre Martin. I’ve never read anything by this author, and your description of the book sounds great.
Thanks.

Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:29:21
With a Twist by Deirdre Martin
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Angel’s Blood by Nalini Singh
I would like Deirdre Martin’s ARC because I read her short story that begins this new series in the anthology she did with Lori Foster and Jacquie D’Alessandro. I want to know what happens next in that family.
I would like Erin McCarthy’s ARC because I’ve read her Las Vegas vampire series and would like to try some of her other work as well.
I would liked Nalini Singh’s ARC because I’ve seen the cover and review for this book almost everywhere and I want to know why people think it so good.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 05:39:19

Three books I would like are:
Ghostland by Jory Strong–love her e books
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan–liked her last leopard book
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy–simply because the “You are the hottest biscuit this side of the gravy boat†has me intrigued enough to want to read it.
Excerpts are always good. I buy a majority of my books just from reading an excerpt.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 06:07:55

Ghostland
Cheers!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 06:50:44
1. Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy – I’ve been waiting for this one since devouring the Flat Out Sexy
2. Burning Wild – Christine Feehan – I’m a Feehan junkie and her leopard stories are hot
3. Any in the Urban Fantasy Romance category
Note for Cindy – Hooray for an Urban Fantasy category! I can’t wait to try it. Also, I wish the covers (I’m especially thinking of Hard and Fast) weren’t quite so naked. It leads to comments like “Mom, why does your book have nipples on the cover?”
Mar 09, 2009 @ 06:56:10
Wow, Berkley has all the good authors I love! It is so hard to choose only 3 books. If I get chosen, I would like-Ghostland by Jory Strong, Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy, and White Star by Elizabeth Vaughan. Thank you.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 06:58:07
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan –
because it’s a Christine book! lol I admit it; I snatch hers up without really paying attention to much else than her name on the cover (though I do at least make sure I don’t already have it before buying–but that’s mainly to appease the hubby)
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra –
Something about the cover on this one just appeals to me in a major way.
Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh –
Angels and vampires. Need I say more?
I admit, I’ve never read the last two authors, but the cover alone would have made me pick Sea Lord up off the shelves–to the husband’s very loud grumbling and moaning. And I would possibly even buy them, so long as they aren’t written in first person. I’m unfamiliar with the authors, so I have no idea if they write in first or third, and that’s more a personal taste than talent reflection. I just can’t get into a first person story.
And I also liked the cover for Jaci Burton’s book, Riding on Instinct–the colors on it are really nice and it draws the eye; sexy without being in your face about it. Personally, I prefer this type of cover to the more blatant ones.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:10:01
I would like Hard and Fast, Nauti Intentions and Riding on Instinct. Can’t wait until they come out. Winning would be better ;)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:10:59
My three picks would be:
Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
Thanks to Cindy Hwang & Berkley as well as everyone at Dear Author for this fabulous giveaway! :)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:11:50
I’d love the following books:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Burning Wild by Christeen Feehan
Revealed by Kate Noble.
It was definitely a challenge trying to whittle it away to 3! I’m amazed at how many great authors Berkley represents. Kudos to them for making good choices!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:12:18
I would love to have The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy – I’ve read the first book in the Accidental Friends series and I really liked it.
Also, Ghostland by Jory Strong. I’ve heard amazing things about the book and it looks great!
Finally, Dead If I Do by Tate Hallaway. I’ve read all the previous Garnet Lacey books and I have been really looking forward to reading this one.
Thanks for the chance to win and for hosting this great contest!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:14:37
Quite a few on my list, I’d like to try for:
The Mage by Jean Johnson
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
White Star by Elizabeth Vaughan
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:21:34
The Moon, Sea Lord and Angels’ Blood, if a Canadian is allowed to win *g*
This is honestly a great selection of authors! Some of these titles will be bought and added to my TBR box (no ereader for me just yet). And I want to say, most of those covers are fabulous! I personally am not a huge fan of half (or fully) naked male chests (same as for half naked bosoms) on book covers but those shown in the slideshow were pretty nice on the whole! :)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:24:27
I would like to win:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
With A Twist by Deirdre Martin
Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
This is a great giveaway!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:32:19
Thanks for offering us a chance to share our wishes and expectations!
Most importantly, do *not* label books as ‘romance’ when they are not! I know the ‘romance’ label sells books, but customers who feel they have been lied to are very angry customers and they stop buying from publishers who do this.
Also, I’d like more books like Judith James’ ‘Broken Wing’, Carolyn Jewel’s ‘Scandal’ and Liz Carlyle’s ‘Tempted All Night’, to name three I recently read that really stuck with me; books with emotional impact that do not rely on outside plot, but explore the characters’ internal world and their motivations.
If I win, I’d like:
McCarthy, Hard and Fast
Collins, Her Ladyship’s Companion (How come neither author nor title are listed on the Berkley Author website?)
Kantra, Sea Lord
Oh, and I’d love some of those fabulous covers that UF and paranormal books get for Historicals as well. I’m tempted by the covers, but since I don’t read paranormal (yes, I know that’s what the Kantra is), publishers are wasting those fabulous covers and not making sales when it comes to me.
I have no issue with naked males, but I’d really like for them to have nipples, because nipples are part of the human anatomy and the obsession to make them taboo in this country is really irritating the crap out of me.
What I’d like to go away are the historical covers showing women’s dresses falling off their backs. Some of the covers are gorgeous, but why are these women’s dresses falling off? They’d be ever so much more gorgeous if they didn’t do that weird stuff!
Some of the most evocative (albeit totally period inappropriate) covers I’ve seen lately are the new Mary Balogh ones.
Fully clothed females who are incredibly sensual and appealing. If the PR department had put them in period appropriate dresses it would have been perfect!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:41:22
I would love a chance to win a copy of:
Ghostland by Jory Strong – I love this cover. I’ve been trying to get my hands on it since I saw it last fall!
The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy – I’ve heard great things about this author. I have The Accidental Werewolf on my desk to read right now!
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra – I loved her novella in the anthology, Shifter.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:42:11
I would love to read:
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan.
Thank you for the giveaway. :)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:42:59
What a great selection of books coming out!
I’d love to win a copy of
~Hard and Fast
~The Defender
~Sea Lord
I think Berkley has been doing an exceptional job of publishing
really great stories by a wonderful array of authors. The only change that
I’d like to see is possibly a slight drop in price on older releases. When a person
“discovers” a new author, they like to go back and read that authors backlist.
I know I do, anyway. It would be nice, in this economy, if publishers could make doing so a little easier on our pocketbooks.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:46:32
Many of them look good, but I think I’ll go with:
Sea Lord
Ghostland
White Star
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:46:39
Hi, I’ve enjoyed reading your site for the last couple of months. Thanks for the opportunity, and I’d love to win:
Hard & Fast – Erin McCarthy
Angel’s Blood – Nalini Singh

Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:52:30
Her Ladyship's Companion – loving the compliment color scheme on the cover!

Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:57:44
Great giveaway!

Ghostland by Jory Strong
White Star by Elizabeth Vaughan
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:58:07
I’d love the Erin McCarthy book, Deirdre Martin’s With a Twist, and Virginia Kantra’s Sea Lord please!
And thank you to Berkley!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 07:58:34
My 3 choices:
1. Riding on Instinct – Jaci Burton
2. Nauti Intentions – Lora Leigh
3. Hard and Fast – Erin McCarthy
It was very difficult to choose!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:10:28
Here are three authors I’ve never read before.
Julie James – Practice Makes Perfect
Kate Noble – Revealed
Catherine Mann – Defender
I’d like to say Thank You Berkley for still providing ebooks in MS Lit format and for making them available on the MMP publication date. Please don’t stop! Not everyone has a Kindle or Sony!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:12:54
This is such a great line-up of books. Some of them are auto-buys for me (like Nalini Singh) so I don’t need to put those on the wish list. I’d love to win:
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
I’m with the other commenter who said that ebooks should come out on the same day as hard copy. And thank you for not pricing the ebooks higher than the mass market (*cough* Simon and Schuster *cough*) which merely makes me determined to not to ever buy those books and instead wait for them from the library.
Making backlists available easily via ebooks would be great. Someone else mentioned that when you discover a new-to-you author, you sometimes fall in love and want to gobble up all the books. It’s a lot easier if I can buy all of them online in one big swoop.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:16:45
Her Ladyship’s Companion
Anything by Robin Schone
Nothing, I repeat, nothing paranormal, shape-shifter-y, nor corporate sponsoring of the heroine with Iphones and designer labels. Judith Krantz did it better, twenty yrs ago.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:18:59
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Angel's Blood by Nalini Singh
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra
A list rather than a flash of covers would have been easier! Just my opinion.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:25:24
Discovering Julie James has been one of the best parts of my year so far! She is so hilarious, and I’ve bought my friends her books as gifts!
I would love to win:
1. HARD AND FAST – Erin McCarthy (FLAT-OUT SEXY was one of my top 2008 reads)
2. WITH A TWIST – Deirdre Martin (Loved her hockey series; NHL addict here)
3. REVEALED – Kate Noble (Love a spy romance, heard good things about COMPROMISED)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:26:53
If I “get lucky”
Practice Makes Perfect
Hard & Fast
Nauti Intentions
The spring releases look great!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:32:11
Daaaannnngg….check out how many people put Hard & Fast on their wish list.
Long live the contemporary!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:34:53
“With a Twist” Deirdre Martin
“Nauti Intentions” by Lora Leigh
“Practice makes Perfect” by Julie James
Oh my gosh, I about peed my pants this morning when I saw this giveaway!! I am super excited about Erin McCarthy, but it’s on its way from Amazon already, so hopefully I will get it soon.
I just wanted to say that I think Berkely Publishing has some of the best authors out there. Their funny, the authors understand romance, and book after book they have winners.
THANK YOU!!!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:37:31
If I win I’ll chose:
Her Ladyship’s Companion

3) Angel’s Blood- Angels, Hunters and Vampires written by Singh – enough said.

Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:43:10
If you are shipping to Italy then i am in :p

Mar 09, 2009 @ 08:53:48
I’ve been staring at the cover for Jory Strong’s Ghostland for a long time now. WANT. Am also strongly tempted by Jaci Burton’s Riding On Instinct and Erin McCarthy’s Hard and Fast.

Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:01:32
I’m already getting a number of these, but if I could get ARCs? After much dithering and going back and forth, these are the ones I’d want:
White Star, by Elizabeth Vaughan
The Mage, by Jean Johnson
Practice Makes Perfect, by Julie James
Thank you, DA ladies and Ms Hwang!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:05:32
I’m not familiar with many of these authors. I love finding new (to me) authors to enjoy! Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Defender
The Mage
The Accidental Human
Someone mentioned an e-newsletter for new releases and I second that request. I would enjoy having a monthly or quarterly newsletter with new release information.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:08:36
I would like to have the following:
Christine Feehan – Burning Wild
Jean Johnson – The Mage
Evangeline Collins – Her Ladyship’s Companion
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:09:30

:winks:
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:27:18
I’m happy to see so many interesting books coming out in the next few months. If I were lucky enough to win the drawing, I’d pick:
Virginia Kantra, Sea Lord
Christine Feehan, Burning Wild
Rebecca York, Eternal Moon
I’ve been following these series so it would be lovely to have the books. I’m also delighted to hear that Robin Schone is coming out with a new book. It’s been far too long since her last book!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:29:15
I would like to win:
Angels Blood – I have been reading so much about this one and it sounds great.
Ghostland – For the title, cover and basic premise.
Dead If I Do – I read the first 2 in the series and loved them.
Its a great contest and nice of Berkley to offer it. They have some wonderful authors and when they release something by a new one I know its bound to be good because they know how to pick them.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:32:27
wow — those are all great selections! It’s hard to pick only three!
The three that caught my eye and I’d love to win are:
Her Ladyship’s Companion
Dead if I Do
The Accidental Human
Honarable Mentions to:(sorry it was really hard to narrow it down LOL)
With a Twist
Hard & Fast — It’s hard to pass up a book with a killer line like the hot biscut one!
The one thing I would like Berkley to know: I personally can’t stand covers with the men wearing sun glasses. They look stupid — not mysterious or dark/brooding. It’s so cheesy!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:33:47
I’d like Hard and Fast, Cry for Passion, or With a Twist. (Hm, lots of three-word, middle-word-uncapitalized titles.)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:37:38
I’d like Sea Lord, Hard & Fast (can’t resist the “hot biscuit” quote), and Cry for Passion. I LUVVV me some ebooks.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:40:24
1. Ghostland by Jory Strong
2. Cry for Passion by Robin Schone
3. Riding on Instinct – Burton
I intend to buy the Lora leigh anyway. Thanks!

I would like to win:
Catherine Mann, Defender
Deidre Martin, With a twist
Kate Noble, Revealed
Mar 09, 2009 @ 09:47:25
Looks like my previous comment didn’t make it, so apologies if I double-posted. I would like:
Hard and Fast
Defender
With a Twist
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:00:49
Umm… All of them?
Since I have to pick:
Ghostland I’m judging a book by its cover and premise here. Looks interesting.
Sea Lord I’ve enjoyed the series and want to see how it ends.
Hard & Fast Her first book helped save the contemporary; I want to see what she does next.
Thank you!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:13:07
I would like
White Star
Rewriting Monday
Burning Wild.
I have read and enjoyed Practive Makes Perfect, Angel’s Blood and The Accidental Human.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:13:32
I’m reading Erin McCarthy’s A Date With The Other Side right now. I finished Bad Boys Online on Saturday. So I am totally glomming onto all of her titles right now (I want to write like Erin McCarthy when I grow up).
So I would love, appreciate, honor and grovel for Hard and Fast by Ms. McCarthy, Rewriting Monday by Jodi Thomas (cover looks like something I would totally pick up) and The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy because the title made me laugh out loud.
And thanks for the wake up. I’ve been trying not to fall asleep at my desk and this was better than the cup of coffee that did nothing.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:14:26
Ooooh, pretty, pretty books…
I would live to get a copy of any of the following (since I have to choose three):
Defender by Catherine Mann — I’m not sure the cover would draw me in at the store, but the blurb sure did.
Ghostland by Jory Strong — her name keeps popping up and I think I should give her a try. Plus the cover looks interesting.
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan — because I’ve liked others in this world.
Thanks for the chance!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:15:23
This is a great giveaway. Thanks so much. I would love to win:
Nauti Intentions- Lora Leigh
Riding on Instinct- Jaci Burton
Hard and Fast- Erin McCarthy
I have to agree with the other poster that commented guys on covers with sunglasses look cheesy.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:17:53
I would like to win:
The Mage by Jean Johnson. Love the cover
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra. Love, love the cover.
Revealed by Kate Noble. I liked her first book and this one sounds cute as well.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:21:54
Thanks to Berkley and Dear Author for having such a wonderful giveaway. The titles I would love to win are:
Rewriting Monday ~ Jodi Thomas
Hard and Fast ~ Erin McCarthy
Revealed ~ Kate Noble
I picked Jodi Thomas because I love her writing. Erin McCarthy because I’ve read some great reviews of Flat-Out Sexy and Kate Noble because I’d like to try a new to me author.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:27:41
My picks are:
White Star
Nauti Intentions
Burning Wild
My picks, like my purchasing decisions, are totally based on favorite authors – though I had trouble narrowing those to 3 here! I also thought the cover/title of Practice Makes Perfect looked interesting.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:31:27
I would like to win the following 3 books: Burning Wild by Christine Feehan, The Mage by Jean Johnson, and Ghostland by Jory Strong. I’ve read all Christine Feehans books and love them and I’ve also enjoyed the Sons of Destiny series by Jean Johnson. Thanks!!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:38:58
I would like to be in the drawing for these three books
hard and fast
nauti intensions
sea lord
what can I say I like the covers ;)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:43:03
I would love Ghostland, White Star and Hard and Fast. Love me some biscuits!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:44:11
The books that I would like to win are: Burning Wild by Christine Feehan, The Mage by Jean Johnston and Eternal Moon by Rebecca York. I have read all of Christine Feehan’s books and can’t wait for the books by her that are coming out this year. I also really like this series by Jean Johnson and Rebecca York. There are some other interesting titles coming out that I will have to check out too.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:44:26
If chosen, I would like:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Ghostland by Joey Strong
Dead If I do by Tate Hallaway
Thanks for the chance of winning these lovely books! I’ve also taken note of the other releases, and bookmarked them.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:46:14
I would like:
Cry for Passion
With a Twist
Hard & Fast
Deidre Martin is a gem. Either DA or SB turned me on to Power Play and I loved. Can’t wait to read this one.
Thanks!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:48:21
Defender, Flat-Out Sexy, and, uh… maybe The Mage?
I’m not very good at telling a book by its cover ;)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:53:38
If I could win, I would pick:
Ghostland–sounds interesting and great cover
With a Twist–I’ve been meaning to try this author
Hard and Fast–I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it
Thanks for this contest!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 10:56:42
practice makes perfect hard and fast and revealed thanks for the giveaway
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:01:00
great covers – so many to pick from. If by chance my name is pulled from the hat I would love to have Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy, Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh, and Practice makes Perfect by Julie James. thanks
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:10:58
Note to Berkley & Ms. Hwang:
Brilliant! I love the 2-fer option for ereaders that you are offering with Robin Schone’s new release. This is exactly the kind of thing that moves a book from my “wish list” to my “buy now” list!
And if my name is pulled from the hat I would love to read Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy, Cry for Passion by Robin Schone and Defender by Catherine Mann.
Thanks!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:12:56
Great contest! There were so many good choices that it was hard to narrow it down, but I did it!
Burning Wild – Christine Feehan
Nauti Intentions – Lora Leigh
The Accidental Human – Dakota Cassidy
Thanks!!

Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:23:52
Great giveaway!
I’d love to read:
With a Twist
Riding on Instinct
Nauti Intentions
thanks
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:28:08
If I was picked I would love to get:
Her Ladyship’s Companion
Angel’s Blood
Sea Lord
I was wavering over picking The Mage (the title made it sound interesting) but I’m glad MelissaG mentioned it was part of a series. Even if I don’t win I’ll probably eventually pick up some of these. If I would have found out that it was part of a series after I bought it I would have been really mad. I wish covers would have numbers on them when they’re part of a series.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:29:16
I love when people give out ARC’s. I think it is a great idea. I loved what Nalini did with the ARCs for Angel’s Blood and gave out the ARCs with the condition that the winner write a review and spread the good news. I think more authors could benefit from this, especially for the first book in a series.
Here are my requests:
Tate Halloway: Dead If I Do
Jaci Burton: Riding on Instinct
Jory Strong: Ghostland
Good luck to everyone who enters.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:38:21
The Mage
Hard and Fast
Ghostland
God Berkley has awesome covers….droolworthy.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:46:42
I would love to win..
“The Mage” by Jean Johnson
“Burning Wild” By Christine Feehan
“Hard and Fast by Erin Mccarthy
If i could only pick one it would be buring wild…That book looks fab-o!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Jory Strong’s new book, “Ghost Land”. What a read! I would encourage everyone to perorder this so that they can get this book as soon as it comes out! It has such a depth of world building and such a wonderful love story. It is different from her other works in that it is more of an urban fiction, but it still has that hot love story that she does so well. I think her long time fans will love this new series and new readers to her work will become hooked like the rest of us! I can’t wait to read the next one!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 11:48:27
Sign me up for these three:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
Ghostland Jori Strong
The only general thing I would say is that most of the covers are really good. I really appreciate the lack of mullets and improbable body positioning.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:00:03
Cool!!!
I’d love to have
Mage by Jean Johnson
Hard and Fast by Erin Mccarthy
Defender by Catherine Mann
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:06:31
The three books I would love to win are:
1) BURNING WILD by Christine Feehan
2) GHOSTLAND by Jory Strong
3) PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT by Julie James
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:09:03
Throwing my hat in for:
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra
The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy
Thanks for the opportunity. :-)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:20:25
Wow, so many nice ones to choose from. One thing I’d like to see changed is the display of the moon on the cover of a paranormal. It seems like it’s the only thing the art dept can come up with for non-humorous paranormals. So either you get a cartoon cover or some version of the moon. (This isn’t just a Berkley thing – I see this poor moon everywhere!)
My top three picks:
1. The Mage
2. The Accidental Human
3. White Star
Thanks!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:24:42
I’d like to win:
Hard & Fast
Nauti Intentions
The Mage
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:30:56
Rubbing the rabbit’s foot… oh please, oh please, oh please…
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan.
Thank you!

Here’s my picks: Burning Wild, The Accidental Human and Riding on Instinct.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:35:25
Thanks for these fascinating arcs. What a great giveaway. I would enjoy Sea Lord,
Ghostland and White Star.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:37:02
I would love to win:
With a Twist
Hard and Fast
Her Ladyship’s Companion
The first two because (joining the Dear Author and Smart Bitch campaign) I am desperate to read some great well written contemporaries, and the last because I also love a historical.
I’m assuming Berkeley is prepared to send international?
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:37:19
Hi,
wow what a great selection. If you’re posting to the UK I’d love
Nauti Intentions, Ghostland and Riding on Instinct.
Many thanks to Cindy for these great offerings. I love Berkley, great authors!.
Thanks.
Tina
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:38:24
So many great titles coming out, yea for Berkley.
Three on my wish list are:
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:40:47
Wow. What great books to choose from. It’s hard to pick just 3, i added most of them to my Wish list.
But if I only have to pick 3 they would be:
Dakota Cassidy – Accidental Human
Christine Feehan – Burning Wild
Erin McCarthy – Hard and Fast
My 1st choices were Nalini’s Angel’s Blood but I have already bought it and Nauti Intentions, which I have on order so I didn’t pick either one of those.
Thanks,
Heather
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:43:06
What a neat giveaway (and an awesome lineup)! My three choices:
With a Twist, by Deirdre Martin
Practice Makes Perfect, by Julie James
Rewriting Monday, by Jodi Thomas
I’ve enjoyed previous books by all three authors, and I’m looking forward to reading these releases!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:47:04
Oooh so many I want but if I had to choose the top three they’d be:
1. Hard & Fast (can’t wait to read this one!!!)
2. Riding on Instinct
3. Her Ladyship’s Companion
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:51:49
If I’m chosen, I’d like the following 3 books:
The Mage by Jean Johnson
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh
I am a HUGE fan of Jean Johnson’s, so I’d be so happy to win! Plus, Angels’ Blood has gotten rave reviews, and from the excerpt I read, I know I’ll love it. I’ve also heard really great things about Ghostland, and I’m sure I’d like it too. :P
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:52:53
Dear Berkley,
I know you publish many parnormal titles (not my cup of cake at all), but let me thank you for some amazing contemporary and historical titles I’ve found in your program!
Three books coveted by Yours Truly:
Kate Noble – Revealed
Julie James – Practice Makes Perfect
Evangeline Collins – Her Ladyship’s Companion
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:55:14
Would you ship to Canada?
1. Hard & Fast by Erin McCarthy

3. Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
(Like Heather, I found it hard to choose just 3)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:55:27
The list is like a huge box of fresh doughnuts! WHICH TO CHOOSE!!!
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy cause I love humor with my men!
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh cause her guys are just too hot to be real! LOL

Mar 09, 2009 @ 12:58:49

Marie
Mar 09, 2009 @ 13:17:24

Her Ladyship’s Companion
Angel's Blood
With a Twist
Mar 09, 2009 @ 13:36:10
If you ship to New Zealand I would love the following
Burning Wild (confirmed Christine Feehan junky)
With a Twist (like to try new authors and I’m a fan of the Irish lol)
The third one I was tossing up between two books and have settled on one because I liked the cover.
Dead if I do.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 13:37:17
Really great set of offerings. My three would be:
The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
but if I could only choose one, definitely Ghostland by Jory Strong. It’s so rare to find urban fantasy novels.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 13:46:38
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Dead If I Do by Tate Hallaway
With A Twist by Deidre Martin
I think this is a great promo idea – even if I don’t win the above books, I’ve now got all three authors on my radar, and will be looking for them in the store (for present, future and past releases).
As for suggestions for Berkley – I’m slowly getting my toes wet in the ebook market, but I agree with the commenter above who suggested ebooks be released on the same date as the print version.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:19:12
What a great way to introduce upcoming titles. I love looking at different covers – amazing what a range of art Berkely has!
If case I’m lucky, I liked the look of:
Rewriting Mondays
Accidental Human
With a Twist
Thanks Berkley!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:21:54
I’d like to win:
Dead If I Do by Tate Hallaway
The Accidental Human by DAKOTA CASSIDY
Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:24:13
I would love to read:
Revealed
Her Lady’s Companion
Burning Wild
Although I have hundreds of ebooks, I still love the feel of having the actual book in my hand.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:29:45
Lora Leigh, Erin McCarthy, and Virginia Kantra.
Thanks!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:30:08

Dead If I Do by Tate Hallaway
Eternal Moon by Rebecca York
The Accidental Human by DAKOTA CASSIDY
Berkley is putting out some great books.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:31:39
So hard to choose but I’d love a chance at these three:
Ghostland
Hard and Fast
Eternal Moon
I loved Angels’ Blood and its good to see more planned in the Urban Fantasy Romance category.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:37:17
My three choices:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy(An author that I have just started reading)
Ghostland by Jory Strong (Author that I have never read)

Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:41:42
What an awesome giveaway! I’m interested in two titles:
Ghostland by Jory Strong (first pick)
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra
I’ve had both of these authors on my wishlist for a while now. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:44:11
Oh man, I’ve been dying for these three (ESPECIALLY the first one):
– Angels’ Blood
– Sea Lord
– Burning Wild
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:47:39
wow, how am I supposed to only pick 3? You all are slightly evil in your awesomeness, you know that?
Angel’s Blood (Nalini Singh)
Ghostland (Jory Strong)
Hard and Fast (Erin McCarthy)
Cause, while I love some good paranormal/urban fantasy, I also love the funny.
Thanks Cindy and Jane, for the chance.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:54:37
Ohhhh all the pretty books!
My 3 choices:
Sea Lord – Virginia Kantra
Burning Wild – Christine Feehan
Magic Strikes – Ilona Andrews
(follow up choice if Magic Strikes is not included: Nauti Intentions – Lora Leigh)
Berkley has some HOT titles coming up! I already have Nalini Singh’s Angel’s Blood, which is perfect 10/10 book!
TY for hosting this one = AWESOME!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 14:58:45
Wow, you can tell when there’s a contest by the length of the comment thread!
My ARC choices would be CRY FOR PASSION, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, and REWRITING MONDAY. HARD AND FAST I will probably read anyway (I read the first one as part of the “save the contemporary” campaign and liked it a lot more than I thought). Most of the others look like paranormal (I’m off those for now) and/or series I haven’t started. Although WITH A TWIST looks really good, too; it’s hard to choose just three.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 15:08:57
WOW all these books look great!!!
With a Twist, by Deirdre Martin
Erin McCarthy – Hard and Fast
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
Mar 09, 2009 @ 15:14:38
So many choices!!! It was hard to narrow down to three, but I picked:
The Mage – Jean Johnson
Practice Makes Perfect – Julie James
The Accidental Human – Dakota Cassidy
I have been waiting for the next Johnson and Cassidy books for ages. I loved the first Julie James book and can’t wait to read her next one. Of course, there are so many other authors that I can’t wait to read their next book, including most of your list! Thanks for the chance to win!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 15:25:30
All the books look great!
My picks are: Hard and Fast, Erin McCarty
With a Twist, Deirdre Martin
Defender, Catherine Mann.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 15:32:31

1. The Accidental Human – Dakota Cassidy
2. Angel’s Blood – Nalini Signh
3. Hard and Fast – Erin McCarthy
Mar 09, 2009 @ 16:19:34
I’ve read a lot of books by Jory Strong and some show a real talent for story telling, but that new one doesn’t sound like something I’d enjoy. I do enjoy a good laugh, so:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Defender by Cathrine Mann
Dead If I Do by Tate Hallaway
Mar 09, 2009 @ 16:32:00
well… I’d love to have the 3 sea-books by Virginia Kantra
(wishful thinking from someone who never really wins anything in such competitions….)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 16:43:30
Rewriting Monday – Jodi Thomas
With a Twist – Deidre Martin
Hard and Fast – Erin McCarthy
I could not find any info on either Her Ladyship’s Companion by Evangeline Collins (the site didn’t even recognize the author) or Burning Wild by Christine Feehan. Has there been a name change for the latter book?
Just FYI, I am not attracted to the drawn ‘comic book’ cover. The Evangeline Collins cover, OTOH, made me want to find out if the inside of the book matched the cover…which seemed to promise a historical delight.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 16:44:01
I will try and be adventurous in my choices since I have read the other authors and have them pre-ordered anyway.
I would like to request, if I win:
White Star by Elizabeth Vaughn
The Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Mar 09, 2009 @ 16:58:25
If chosen, I would like:
Jaci Burton – Riding on Instinct
Erin McCarthy – Hard & Fast
Lora Leigh – Nauti Intentions
Thanks!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:01:13
So many wonderful books to look forward to :)
I would love to read:
Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra
Thanks for a great contest!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:03:52
A lot of wonderful titles, but these are the three that I would love to have –
* The Accidental Human
* Ghostland
* Sea Lord
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:10:29
I would like to put my name in for:
1. Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
2. Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
3. The Mage by Jean Johnson
I would add that if I think about it Berkley has probably been one of my publishers of late, and many of my auto-buy authors are at Berkley including my absolute favorite, Nalini Singh(already own Angel’s Blood). Christine Feehan is another auto-buy, and both Lora Leigh and Jean Johnson have made me happy with their work of late.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:10:50
I would like to win these titles:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy (based on recommendations I often hear from others – I’ve never tried her books myself.)
Ghostland by Jory Strong (Like others said, mostly because of the wonderful cover, but I hope this book has no fated mates or something similar.)
Rewriting Monday by Jodi Thomas (I have never tried her, but I like a change of pace once in a while.)
Most of the books seem interesting, one way or the other, and I’m glad that there are quite a few sub genres to choose from. Also, the covers are quite nice. (I can’t help it, I am visually oriented. If the cover sucks, and I don’t find valid reviews and recommendations… That’s a sale lost.)
The book that caught my eye the most was Her Ladyship's Companion by Evangeline Collins. The cover is kinda nice, but I will be waiting for reviews before I buy either of these books.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:18:44
I would like:
Her Ladyships Companion
Burning Wild
White Star
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:19:17
Nauti Intentions by Lora leigh
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Riding on Instinct by Jaci Burton
I love all three authors and have the other books in each series.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:22:23
Cool giveaway. My three choices are Ghostland by Jory Strong, Sea Lord by Virginia Kantra and Defender by Catherine Mann.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:31:02
I would love to win a copy of
Ghostland by Jory Strong
A Vampire’s Claim by Joey W. Hill
Endangered by Kathleen Dante
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:36:04
Dearest Dear Author,
I may be alone out there on the end of my lonely little limb but I eschew paranormals & fantasy and go for the straight contemporaries. So here’s what I would love in my heart of hearts:
1. Catherine Mann’s ‘Defender’ (I’ve read everything else she’s written so I am quivering for this one).
2. Erin McCarthy’s ‘Hard and Fast’ (OK, that cover model can definately come a-callin next time my hubby is on a business trip. Make that a long business trip).
3. Lora Leigh’s ‘Nauti Intentions’ (I recently read the other 3 books in this series and altho the sister was barely mentioned, I am still anxious to see what’s in store for her).
Thx ladies!
Zippy

Thank you so much DA and Ms Hwang for an amazing contest!
Hmmm..decisions…
- Angels’ Blood
- Hard & Fast
- Practice Makes Perfect
I haven’t read any books by the latter two authors but have heard so many good things about this. And I know and love Nalini’s books and I’m going nuts waiting for the library’s copy of Angels’ Blood :) Oh, and I’m being presumptuous and assuming that if you are able to ship to Australia, Finland, Italy or Scotland then New Zealand will be OK too please? Thank you!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:37:57
Thanks for this fabulous opportunity.!
Hard and Fast – Erin McCarthy. Cindy Hwang, if you are reading this, please, plesase make sure we get to hear Ryder and Suzanne’s story. Hearing about them in Flat Out Sexy really had me wanting to find out a lot more about them.
With A Twist – Deirdre Martin
Nauti Intentions – Lora Leigh
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:42:01
I would love to win these,
Hard and Fast -Erin McCarthy
Burning Wild- Christine Feehan
Nauti Intentions- Lora Leigh
Ireally liked the covers on most. The catoonish covers just don’t do it.
I think that the cover art and blurbs should set the stage for a book.
Make you want to step inside and read. Her Ladyships Companion was
very eye catching.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:43:19
Ladyship’s companion
GHOSTLAND
Dead if I do
How exciting!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:48:25

My top three pics are:
1. Practice Makes Perfect
2. Defender
3. Burning Wild
Thanks for the opportunity!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:49:03
Before anything else, I was able to read Nalini Singh’s Angels’ Blood and I highly recommend it. The story was so addicting and the characters were just awesome.
Now on to this great contest. Thanks for the opportunity and all of these titles look great. It was hard to choose but I was finally able to narrow it down to:
Ghost Town
White Stars
Her Ladyship’s Companion.
Once again, thanks for the contest and this has really added to my reading list for 2009!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:57:30
Thanks for the contest. My book choices are:
“Defender” by Catherine Mann

“Nauti Intentions” by Lora Leigh
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:58:35
Hard and Fast Erin M
With a Twist Deirde M
Her Ladyship Companion E Collins
Also I just wanted to let everyone know, even though it’s not on the list, I loved Christine Blevins first book and I was really happy to see that you all have a new one by her coming out! That made my day. Thanks for doing this.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 17:58:40
Thanks for the contest– Great selection! It was a bit hard to narrow it down, but I did it! And, surprise surprise (Not!), I picked all paranormals that I’ve been DYING to read (continuations of series I already love!):
1. Eternal Moon by Rebecca York
2. Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
3. The Mage by Jean Johnson
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:09:06
Thanks for the contest!! Woot! haha well three books for me would be
The Mage by Jean Johnson
Ghostland by Jory Strong
Angel’s Blood by Nalini Singh
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:27:07
Wow – what a great bunch of books! The three books I would like the most are:
GHOSTLAND by Jory Strong
WHITE STAR by Elizabeth Vaughn
REWRITING MONDAY by Jodi Thomas
The only thing I’d like to tell Berkley is thanks for such a great contest!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:27:36
Here are the 3 books I would pick:
Hard and Fast by Erin McCarthy
Burning Wild by Christine Feehan
Nauti Intentions by Lora Leigh
These are 3 of my very favorite authors. For Berkley – I love discovering new paranormal stories and authors. Please keep them coming!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:36:03
there are a lot of great books coming out soon. From Berkley I am looking forward to many but these are my top three. Great contest, thanks.
Ghostland
Hard and Fast
Angel’s Blood
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:41:51
Hard & Fast, With a Twist & Burning Wild – because I love all those authors, and the combo of titles cracks me up :)
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:47:01
Oooh! Free books.
These are my choices if I get picked:
1. Angels’ Blood – Because I just read the library’s copy and it was so amazing that I want it for my book shelf. I declare this book “Book Shelf Worthy” which is a rare feat in my household.
2. Ghostland – since the storyline is a little different and I love the cover. Plus if Jory use to write for Ellora’s Cave, this might be a little spicy without having to be hosed down.
3. Her Ladyship’s Companion – I have no idea why I put this 3rd over other choices. The cover looked good but I usually rip off steamy covers anyway since I have young children in the house.
Note: please have Singh start pumping out some more books. I can’t wait to see how she develops as a writer.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 18:52:47
My pics are
The Accidental Human by Dakota Cassidy
White Star by Elizabeth Vaughan
Rewriting Monday by Jodi Thomas
Thanks for the contest!

I have been a long time reader and member of Robin Schone’s Group. I also read/review eBooks for JERR. I will take anything but would especially like Robin’s new book or Jory Strong’s.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 19:08:14
White Star, Elizabeth Vaughan
Nauti Intentions, Lora Leigh
Angels Blood, Nalini Singh
I liked Vaughan and Singh’s other books, and I own two of the Nauti books that I have yet to read. Nothing like hoarding to make you start a series. I don’t like to wait between books.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 19:13:01
Squee, givaways!
Jory Strong, Ghostland: Cindy, you’re a gem for signing Jory! I’ve never met a Jory book I didn’t love and I’m so excited she’s been picked up by a NY publisher. She and her writing absolutely deserve it.
Lora Leigh, Nauti Intentions: Lora is a dear and I love her books.
Erin McCarthy, Hard and Fast: I’m not generally a fan of contemporaries (or Nascar), but after hearing about this series here and at SBTB, I’m interested.
Berkley is by far one of my favorite publishers. I adore paranormal romance that is steamy, well written, and has fantastic characters, and they are brilliant at publishing great authors of it. I think that a majority of my favorite authors are at Berkley, actually. Keep doing what you’re doing, Cindy!
Mar 09, 2009 @ 19:16:55
Hooray for giveaways! I’m most interested in:
Erin McCarthy, Hard and Fast
Robin Schone, Cry for Passion

Wow, Awesome Contest.
Would love to read:
With a Twist – Deirdre Martin
Hard and Fast – Erin McCarthy
Rewriting Monday – Jodi Thomas
Mar 09, 2009 @ 19:38:43
Robin Schone’s Cry For Passion sounds very intriguing and I love novels set in Victorian or Regency periods that have all these strict rules that are ready to be broken.
Erin McCarthy’s Hard And Fast sounds like a fun and exciting read that will bring action and romance for the audience.
Virgina Kantra’s Sea Lord sounds VERY interesting b/c she uses selkies instead of other overused paranormal creatures. Plus I’m a huge sucker for paranormal reads.
Mar 09, 2009 @ 19:40:41
HI,
