Jane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. She's currently loving contemporary authors like Sarah Mayberry and Karina Bliss but her first love will always be the historical. Some of her old time favorites are Amanda Quick and Johanna Lindsey and some of the new favorites are Sherry Thomas, Joanna Bourne and Claudia Dain. You can reach Jane by email at jane @ dearauthor dot com
Welcome to Dear Author. If this is your first time, you may want to read our page for Readers (this is like a FAQ) or our page for Authors. We also have a handy dandy review policy page for Authors, Publishers and Publicists. We read and review romance books (with a smattering of other genre and non fiction books) from the readers' point of view.

Come on Broken! [g] That is going to be a tight race, eh?
Oh man, they’re all too close!
I must stop watching, I must stop watching.
Come on, my preciouzzzz, come on Broken. I need you to win this one. Sob. :::munching cookies, lotsa cookies:::
Oh my goodness, I’m so going to tank in today’s matches!
*Headdesk*
Jane — I still can’t vote.
I am cutting my computer off in 30 min. Can’t watch this all day. Today’s matches decide if I’m in or out. It is just too close for comfort. How long does the poll last? Hope it last long enough for my Broken to come from behind!
The whole erotica category was painful to pick. I’d have picked them all to wipe out another category if I could. Probably YA. I don’t read that.
Today’s voting is gonna be hurtful to watch. I have Broken going several rounds. This could kick my butt if VQS stays in the lead.
Ok, so maybe I shouldn’t admit this but I didn’t read any of these books (don’t read much erotica) and so I just briefly looked at what the books were about and chose.(Master of Obsidian and Vampire Queen’s Servant) Now I just want mine to win! lol I was shot down yesterday on a couple of my choices and these books could take me out of the running. Oh well, can’t watch anymore.
— Must focus on work…Must focus on work –
NOOO!! Broken lost!!
Ack… down to last place for me!
The voting isn’t over yet! Not until 11 am.
All you Broken fans, I love ya (and I loved Broken)…but VQS is my pick. It was gut wrenching and beautiful…sorry guys!
jessica, you picked what I did–and by the same process (except I did the final choice by how I liked the title itself.)
Go us!!
I am loving the tight race between Master of Obsidian and At Love’s Command.
Hard pick there.
Oh and I just knew Joey Hill FTW!
I was out of town yesterday so I missed the first three rounds of voting. I thought that was a terrible thing–coz I didn’t get to vote–but now I think it was for the best. I just can’t spend the whole day hitting “refresh” to check the new numbers! Evil!!
Good luck everyone!!
I believe this is where I say yo momma’s gut wrenching and beautiful.
Wait, that didn’t come out right.
I have two loses today, no make that possibly more than two loses today. How upsetting. Signing off to go read now, to cheer myself up, while chanting over and over again: “it’s just a game.”
Come on SAMANTHA!!!!!
lol, you have GOT to be kidding me. Both results…highly disappointing. pfft. Well, I’m out.
Woot! Looks like I have two winners here!
Keishon’s right. It’s just a game, just a game.
But . . . Yo mama!
See, now is the opportunity to come back and vote in an effort to scotch other ballots chances of being successful. Some tournaments hold a second chance round – where you fill out brackets for the remaining 32 teams/books but have a lesser prize. Maybe we should do that.
Nora, you are cracking me up. What will you buy from Lochers if you win?
I like the “will fuck for shoes” pin myself.
Crap.
Jane~omg could you make it more confusing? Possibly I’m pissed that I’m doing so poorly.
lisabea, I hears ya. I think I just lost my motivation to vote anymore. lol. what’s the point when the pics that i made in the last round were also picks for the next round…pretty much means i’m SOL. Oh well. I actually have homework I ought to be doing, so it’s probably a good thing. :p
For that yo mama remark, I think I might have to resort to doing just that. *evil grin* Yeah, as I float to the bottom, I make take some readers with me *evil laughter*
Oh wow, I moved up in the standings! There will be no living with me until the end of this current round–where I think I will tank.
Angela, I haven’t paid any attention to actual prizes. It’s all about the race!
I cannot play games. I’m a maniac.
I just rushed back from a lunch meeting to vote! Work is getting in the way…or uh, I mean I should focus on work. :) But I won this round! Nora, we totally rock!
