Royal Weddings: An Original Anthology by Stephanie Laurens, Gaelen Foley, Loretta ChaseRoyal Weddings: An Original Anthology by Stephanie Laurens, Gaelen Foley, Loretta Chase. $ 1.99

This was brought to my attention by a couple of readers commenting in the previous deals. I was also alerted that the three authors joined together to do another trio of anthologies under the title ROYAL BRIDESMAIDS which is selling for $1.99 as well. Both are fairly short. The Royal Weddings is 79 pages and Royal Bridesmaids is 100 pages.

From the Jacket Copy:

Royal Weddings:

Stephanie Laurens’ The Wedding Planner: Lady Margaret is proud plan the ton’s most important nuptuals—including that of a prince. But it’s Lady Margaret who falls in love . . . with dashing Gaston Devilliers!

Gaelen Foley’s Ever After: How scandalous! Eleanor Monford, Countess of Archer, is in love with her own husband. And as Princess Charlotte of England weds Prince Leopold, Eleanor’s “secret” is about to come out.

Loretta Chase’s The Jilting of Lord Rothwick: On the eve of Queen Victoria’s wedding to Prince Albert, the Marquess of Rothwick learns his fiancÉe, Barbara Findley, has broken their engagement! So he desperately rides out of London to seek her out . . . and to win her back.

Royal Bridesmaids:

Now, in this original anthology, New York Times bestselling authors Stephanie Laurens, Gaelen Foley, and Loretta Chase tell us what it really takes to get the bride to the royal altar. They need to do more than “smile, wave, and look delighted”!

Stephanie Laurens: A Return Engagement
Lady Nell Daughtry has her hands full getting her reluctant bride sister safely married to the Prince of Lautenberg. Then she learns she’s paired with Robert Knightley . . . the fiancÉ who walked away.

Gaelen Foley: The Imposter Bride
Lady Minerva must ensure her country’s princess is wed to handsome Prince Tor. Then the bride bolts, and bridesmaid becomes—bride!

Loretta Chase: Lord Lovedon’s Duel
When Chloe Sharp hears the handsome Earl of Lovedon say her sister’s royal marriage is a match made in money, she challenges him to a duel—for love and honor.

Obsession Debra WebbObsession by Debra Webb. $ 2.99

This is a pre order for release on August 7. I thought these were only novellas, but apparently they are full length titles. Impulse is the second book is also available for $2.99 on August 7 and the third book in the series is set for a September 4 for $2.99. One thing I love about the covers of the books is that they include the number of the series on the front. I believe Webb designed these covers as they were self published initially.

From the Jacket Copy:

She thought she’d left the murders-and his obsession-behind . . .

Special Agent Jess Harris has spent more than a decade studying the many faces of evil. In her determination to stop a serial killer, she broke the rules, and it cost her everything. With her career in need of resuscitation and her love life dead and buried, Jess jumps at a chance to advise on a case that has the top detectives of Birmingham, Alabama, stumped. But the case forces her to confront all the reasons she put her hometown-and her first love-in her rearview mirror.

Four young women have gone missing, and Police Chief Dan Burnett will do anything to find them before it’s too late-even if it means asking for help from the woman who has spent a decade avoiding him. Jess agrees to lend a hand and welcomes the diversion of a new case, a new life to save to make up for the victims she’s lost. But then the unthinkable happens: the crazed serial killer from her past follows Jess to Birmingham. The situation is becoming increasingly desperate-and time is swiftly running out . . .

Seduction of a Proper Gentleman By: Victoria AlexanderSeduction of a Proper Gentleman by Victoria Alexander. $ 1.99.

I think I am running out of Avon books with “Seduction” in the title. I hope they flip to another word. How about “Bride”? or “Dangerous”?

From the Jacket Copy:

To break a centuries-old curse, beautiful, headstrong Lady Kathleen MacDavid knows she must ignore every rule of propriety by seducing-and marrying-the Earl of Norcroft. So she sets off for London, braving scandal and ruin to achieve her goal . . . until a crazy bump on the head makes her forget nearly everything.

The thrill of winning a bet-that he’d be the last of his set to wed-hasn’t eased the earl’s pain of losing his friends to marriage. Still, he’d be willing to settle down if he could meet someone worthy of his love-and desire. But he has met no such woman, until Kathleen is brought to him. Suspicious of her motives, he’s determined to resist her seductive ways. But sometimes even the most proper gentleman finds it expedient to act improperly . .

They already had a “Bride” sale, and you posted about it.

I read the Royal Weddings anthology around the time of William and Kate’s royal wedding. I remember feeling kind of disappointed. I’ve loved other short stories by Loretta Chase and Stephanie Laurens but these didn’t quite work for me – maybe because they’re so short.

See, that’s my downfall- Sally mentions Milan’s Unlocked being free and next thing I know I have bought Unveiled and Hoyt’s The Raven Prince. I have to quit reading these recommendations (at least until I have made a dent in my TBR pile). ;-)
