I researched the Avon deals. I’m not sure whether these reflect a new pricing schema or whether this is a temporary thing to drive up rankings. Updated: This is Avon’s official statement:

The description of Roberta Gellis’s The English Heiress inspired me to look up The Scarlet Pimpernel! (also free – TY Project Guttenberg) Now I have both on my Kindle for cozy evening reading. :)

I just picked up the rest of the Heiress series by Roberta Gellis at $1.49, plus her Siren Song series for the same price. Now if only they’d drop the Roselynde series down, I’d get them in e-copies also.

@Frekki: I just did the same thing. I would also like to have Knight’s Honor, Bond of Blood and The Sword and the Swan in ebook editions also. I was very gingerly rereading The Sword and the Swan the other day. My copy is over 30 years old and definitely on the worn side.
