Daily Deals: Club Sin, Magical investigators, and Seaside Smugglers

The first 24 books in the Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter series is being sold in a box set for $19.99. That’s a pretty tremendous bargain.

Bared by Stacey KennedyBared by Stacey Kennedy. $ .99

From the Jacket Copy:

In a novel that’s perfect for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Stacey Kennedy returns to Club Sin with another wicked and wild tale of submission, seduction, and love.

At Las Vegas’s exclusive Club Sin, Aidan Knight is the Master, unleashing the erotic yearnings of his submissive lovers. But his dominant façade conceals a devastating loss—something he instantly recognizes in his personally trained submissive Cora Adams. Sworn to unearth her secrets, Aidan uses his seductive skills to ignite her wildest desires until Cora yields to the pleasure she can find only with him.

Cora came to the BDSM club to act out her sub-and-dom fantasies without ever revealing the heartbreak that haunts her. But Aidan’s masterful touch is bringing her closer to the edge . . . and deeper into a world of control and surrender. He refuses to allow her to submit to any other man—nor does she want to. It’s a dangerous game they’re playing. For as they give in to passion, they must lay bare their souls for a love that could heal—and free—them both.

Bared is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

I profiled Claimed as a Daily Deal which I haven’t read. The one negative review of this book said that there was too much introspection for her.

The Angel in My Arms by Stefanie SloaneThe Angel in My Arms by Stefanie Sloane. $ .99

From the Jacket Copy:

BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Stefanie Sloane’s The Saint Who Stole My Heart.

In Stefanie Sloane’s spirited and witty new series of intrigue and passion, a dedicated spy learns the meaning of surrender.

To Young Corinthian agent Marcus MacInnes, the Earl of Weston, his latest mission involving a smuggling ring with ties to Napoleon seems ridiculous at first, but becomes all too threatening as pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place. And the most troubling piece of all? Miss Sarah Tisdale, an unconventional beauty whose lust for life is rivaled only by her ability to drive Marcus to distraction. When her family comes under suspicion, Marcus must watch her very closely—even if her touch ignites the fiery desire burning beneath his cool façade.

When it comes to suitors, Sarah’s lush curves and kissable lips aren’t enough to compensate for her willful nature. She’s tasted disappointment before, but flirting with the sinfully handsome Marcus is a pastime worth savoring—even when it leads to wicked pleasures. When Sarah’s life is in jeopardy, Marcus discovers that the passion between them can no longer be denied—and he’ll do anything to keep her in his arms.

The low star reviewed like the first book better and complained that this story had too little romance and too much smuggling.

Walk in the Park by Jill MansellA Walk in the Park by Jill Mansell. $ 2.99

From the Jacket Copy:

No one could have planned for this…

Lara Carson left her family and boyfriend Flynn eighteen years ago without a word to anyone. Why has no one heard from her since? Does it mean anything that she’s suddenly reappeared in Bath just in time for her ex–best friend Evie’s wedding? And what about Flynn? Even the most eagle–eyed observer can’t tell whether he’s happy to see her, or just stunned.

While secrets pile up on secrets, and the gossip mill wings into high gear, the brand–new life Lara’s searching for becomes ever more elusive. There’s a lot of catching up for everyone to do, and Lara’s return is going to be anything but a walk in the park.

Predictable and light read but nice says the reviews.

SYNC is doing its summer audiobook giveaway. Each week through August you have a chance to download 2 free audiobooks. Most are YA titles, but there are several classics like Sherlock Holmes, Jekyll & Hyde, Anne of Green Gables, etc.
This first week it is WARP: THE RELUCTANT ASSASSIN by Eoin Colfer and THE TIME MACHINE by H.G. Wells.

A Walk in the Park is a second chance at love story. I liked it. The supporting characters are eccentric and numerous, I especially liked the rapper and the shirt-man. Definitely worth the price IMHO.

Thank you so much for flagging the Harry Dresden series! Hubby has all of them in paper or hardback, so we’re slowly building up the ebooks when they’re on sale.

Maybe these will help him wait patiently until the new on is out on the 27th. :)
