Noble is an underrated writer.  We’ve reviewed a couple of her books here.  The heroine is jilted at her engagement ball by the hero of “Follow My Lead.” Megan writes “A sweet friends-to-lovers story mixed with a bit of espionage adventure. Noble does a great job, as always, with building nuances into her character’s feelings and actions, her espionage plot is above average (if still not too complicated nor too difficult to guess the secrets and mysteries) and embedded into Real! Life! History!, and she makes smart decisions in writing a masked caper: namely, the character trying to pull off an assumed identity knows it’s ridiculous and he’s doing it for the wrong reasons, but then things get out of hand).”

This is a widely recommended self published book. I’ve bought it but I haven’t read it. Negative comments include that the plot is quite obvious and the book ends with a giant cliffhanger (which is why I haven’t read the book as I am tired of cliffhangers and refuse to read the books until the series is finished).

This is $1.99 at BN and Amazon. Nicole S of The Bookpushers liked the set up, the smartness of the heroine, but felt the pace was plodding at times. The romance is slow to develop.
