Every great romance comes with a risk…
After a duke’s betrayal, the resilient Sarah Forrester reinvents herself as the Golden Lady: society’s leading light, the
beautiful and witty life of the party. It’s all a façade of course-one that protects her from another intimate disloyalty. When her old friend, Lieutenant Jackson Fletcher, returns to London, he is determined to rediscover the true and trusting Sarah he once knew. It’ll take more than a kiss and a promise. It might even call for an innocent and necessary deception.
Then Jackson is enlisted to help capture the lead suspect in a murder– a man who happens to be Sarah’s most ardent suitor. Jack must continue the deception, and weathering this newest and gravest betrayal will be Sarah’s ultimate test. But as Jack’s passion for her grows, he must also reveal his own secrets. And as the killer turns his attention to his pursuers, more than love and trust is put at risk.

ew Adult Contemporary Romance
**Mature situations and sexual content – recommended for ages 17+**
Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily. According to the rumors, at least.
But now I’m the temporary girlfriend of Drew Callahan, college football legend and all around golden guy. He’s beautiful, sweet—and he’s hiding way more secrets than I am. He’s brought me into this fake life where everyone seems to hate me. And everyone seems to want something from him. The only thing he seems to want though is…
Me.
I don’t know what to believe anymore. All I know is, I think Drew needs me. And I want to be there for him.
Forever.
Blood of Eden by Tami Dane. $ 1.99.
From the Jacket Copy:
This mind-blowing new series introduces Sloan Skye, an ambitious intern at the FBI’s paranormal unit, where the usual rules of crime fighting don’t apply. . .
Sloan has a sky-high IQ, a chaotic personal life, and a dream: to work for the FBI. Her goal is within reach until an error lands her with the FBI’s ugly stepchild: the new Paranormal Behavioral Analysis Unit. She’ll get to profile criminals, but the pool of suspects is a little more. . .diverse. Yet even as Sloan tackles her first case—a string of victims, all with puncture wounds to the neck—she can’t silence her inner para-skeptic.
To catch the killer she’ll have to think like one. That means casting aside her doubts, and dealing with bizarre nightmares that started with the job. But the strangeness is only beginning, as Sloan pieces together the shocking truth about a case that’s more personal than she ever would have guessed.

I have never read Golden Triangle or the Quarter Square books, but I quite liked David Bridger’s The Weaverfields’ Heir, a contemporary/family saga paranormal— no vampires, but the heroine has a paranormal gift. Lovely job of describing the setting, and the characters were fleshed out.

I’m not sure I’d call Kate Noble underrated, considering she seems to get very positive reviews on every romance website I frequent. I’ve read one book by her (The Summer of You) and I don’t get the appeal at all. But maybe others will :)

I like Kate Noble and this is a good deal. BTW Noble writes some episodes of the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, which is very funny and clever.
