Jill Kismet: The Complete Series by Lilith SaintcrowJill Kismet: The Complete Series by Lilith Saintcrow. $ 9.99

Pre Order and release date for January 22, 2013. This is for the entire series. I’m not certain whether this is a mistake or a promotional pricing effort. Six books for $9.99 is really good.

From the Jacket Copy:

Not everyone can take on the things that go bump in the night.

Not everyone tries.

But Jill Kismet is not just anyone.

She’s a Hunter, trained by the best —- and in over her head.

Welcome to the night shift…

The omnibus edition of Jill Kismet contains: Night Shift, Hunter’s Prayer, Redemption Alley, Flesh Circus, Heaven’s Spite and Angel Town.

In My Heart by Melody ThomasIn My Heart by Melody Thomas. $ .99

Janine is a fan of Melody Thomas. We haven’t reviewed this title here at Dear Author, but it’s a great price to get an introduction to the author’s voice. The price promotion wasn’t reflected at Barnes and Noble but the price is set by the publisher so it should show up everywhere.

From the Jacket Copy:

After a whirlwind affair and elopement with one of her father’s officers, Lady Alexandra Marshall, daughter and sole heir of the Earl of Ware, watched helplessly as her husband was shipped off. An annulment followed, and though she waited with packed bags, Christopher never returned for her. Now, 10 years later, she can’t help but wonder if fate is giving them a second chance at love .

You Are Next Katia LiefYou Are Next by Katia Lief. $ .99

Allison from Goodreads says that the book reads like an episode of “Criminal Minds.” It’s the first book in the start of a series. Many of the books are under $4.

From the Jacket Copy:

He took everything . . . then came back for more.

Former Detective Karin Schaeffer has nothing left to live for after serial killer Martin Price destroys all she holds dear. Known as “The Domino Killer” because he leaves dominoes as a clue to his next victim, Price doesn’t stop until an entire family is destroyed. Even when he’s locked away in prison, the shadow he casts over Karin’s life keeps her in constant darkness.

Then a policeman brings news to her door: Price has escaped. Karin knows where he’s headed because of the message he left behind last time, scrawled in blood, on her bathroom mirror?

You are next.

But Karin Schaeffer refuses to run and hide. She feels no fear and has nothing left to lose. And so she waits. She won’t stand by and let Price harm any more of her family. And she won’t rest until she’s put him back behind bars forever . . . or until one of them is dead.

All About Seduction Katy MadisonAll About Seduction by Katy Madison. $ 1.99.

Avon is promoting many of the historical romances with the word “Seduction” in the title. It sounds like this book is about two non titled characters.

From the Jacket Copy:

She had never known passion like this?

Caroline Broadhurst is about to take a lover— at her husband’s command. For fifteen years, Caroline has done everything her much older husband has desired—except provide an heir. Now he has given her an ultimatum: seduce a suitable gentleman and bear a son. Caroline would never think of bowing to such a shameful order, but then she meets Jack Applegate.

Jack has longed for the beautiful, untouchable Caroline for years, but the chasm between them was too wide to ever dream of crossing. Now, fate and passion have thrown them together, but the potential scandal threatens to smother their love. And when a violent secret comes to light, only a terrible sacrifice will prevent the flame of their affection from being snuffed out forever . .

She self publishes NA and contemporaries (and publishes with Berkley and Montlake) and spends her downtime reading romances and writing about them.
