Early Look at Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

I just received notice that the ebook was not to be released early and that the ebook vendors made an error in selling it early. The on-sale date for Eclipse is August 7th. Please do not post spoilers to the book here. We will delete them if you do.

Update: BooksonBoard, to make up for its gaffe, is offering e-copies of New Moon at $8.99 and Twilight for $4.49. Twilight was one of my 2005 books of the year. If you are a romance fan of vampire paranormals, I think you would enjoy this book. The promo code is ECLIPSESLIP for the Books on Board discount. The offer ends 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time, August 6, 2007.

136802.jpgWant to read the book before its in the stores? Reason 101 to be an ebook reader. Today, Stephenie Meyer’s third book in the Edward and Bella saga is was on sale at Books on Board in ebook format and downloadable right this second but will not be any longer given that BonB wasn’t supposed to release the book until August 7. I suggest buying either the Mobipocket or the MS Lit format.

For those who aren’t in the know, Meyer’s books are Harry Potter-ish in their reach to teens, young adults and adults. Her two books, Twilight and New Moon, have sold over 1 million copies. Not bad for a two book author, hmmm?

Jane Litte is the founder of Dear Author, a lawyer, and a lover of pencil skirts. She self publishes NA and contemporaries (and publishes with Berkley and Montlake) and spends her downtime reading romances and writing about them. Her TBR pile is much larger than the one shown in the picture and not as pretty. You can reach Jane by email at jane @ dearauthor dot com

Thanks. Girl child loves this series. I have made my purchase, but sheesh! What a cumbersome buying process. That combined with the site layout pretty much guaranteed I didn’t book mark the site for future purchases. Too time consuming to do anything and too inconvenient. Prices seemed good, though.

might check the 3rd one out. isn’t it supposed to be from Edward’s POV?

Thanks very much. If Eclipse doesn’t arrive tomorrow (I’m in London and we sometimes get things early) than I’ll be buying it and getting no sleep tomorrow night.

Thanks again for letting us know. I’ll be passing the link around.

Thanks for the promo code, I’ve had Twilight on my To Buy list forever and hadn’t gotten around to it. This gave me a good excuse to act!

I’m so excited about this book I can hardly stand it! Seriously, knowing I had this to look forward to was the only thing that kept me out of a spiraling depression after finishing Harry Potter.

might check the 3rd one out. isn't it supposed to be from Edward's POV?

No, it doesn’t appear to be, based on the first chapter published on Meyer’s website. It is written in first person POV (Bella’s again.) I did read a reworking of the beginning of Twilight (on Meyer’s website) at one point that was told from Edward’s POV. It is still on her website under “Other Projects” and Midnight Sun. Really interesting if you are a Twilight fan.

I am really looking forward to reading Eclipse.
