Thursday Afternoon Haiku Moment: Man in a Million by Jessica Bird
Live under a rock?
Jessica Bird is also
penname JR Ward.
Spike = hero.
Ex-con gourmet chef hottie
Not millionaire.
Heroine is “Mad”
No, really – that is her name.
She is the rich one.
Reverse HP theme?
Maybe. But Mad comes off as
Poor little rich girl
Will they won’t they?
Goes on a bit too long, sigh.
Just get to the sex!
Second half picks up
Sex: Almost as hot as ‘Ward’
Liked it at the end.
Verdict: Is Ward ‘lite’
But Ward lite is still yummy
B minus in all
This book can be purchased in mass market from Amazon or ebook format from Mills & Boon (epub only folks).

Lol. I read that book a while ago, but your haiku nailed it.

hmmm. I’m over JR Ward – but have considered picking up Jessica Bird.

Full disclosure: I rarely ‘get’ the Haiku’s I’ve read but this is right on the money…. thank you for that… it’s often really hard being the only one that doesn’t understand something!
As for JR Ward I still like her writing but this waiting a year or longer between books in a series — then have it be in hardcover — is a drain/strain on my interest.

I love the haikus and have purchased the last two books that were reviewed that way here, so thank you. And I think Ward lite is yummy, too.

I really hate the Haiku’s. Not just this one, but all of them.
Sorry. I’ve been keeping that in, but it needed to get out.

As always, I loved the Haiku review! The woman being the millionaire is a nice change of pace. I’m curious as to the balance of power in the relationship.

I’ve missed the Haiku reviews. This one was just as witty and funny as all the others!
