Robin Schone Suffers Major Heart Attack
According to the Romantic Times, Robin Schone suffered a major heart attack on Christmas Day and is currently recovering in the hospital. Currently she is unable to speak and it is unknown whether she is having that difficulty because of suffering a stroke or a larynx related injury. Robin Schone has a new release in March – Cry for Passion. This is pretty sad news. Schone was really a trailblazer of erotic romance. I hope her a good recovery if it can’t be speedy.

oh my goodness. I remember reading her books back before erotic romance was really not mainstream at all and I still love those stories. I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.

This sad news should be a timely reminder that although health warnings often focus on the danger to men from heart attacks, heart disease is actually the number one killer of women over 65, but yet doctors often miss it. I hope everyone reading this will take the time to read up about the symptoms of heart attack in women, which can be very different from those in men, and educate those around them to take it seriously if they complain about jaw pain and so on.
I hope Ms Schone recovers fully and it’s good news that she did at least survive the initial attack. A terrible shock for her family.

OMG. Robin and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers. She’s one of the major reasons I write erotic romance. The Lady’s Tutor, was the first ER I read and still one of my favorites.

There is another post by Carol Stacy that says:
“I spoke to Don last night. He said Robin had a rough day but by day’s end she was doing much better. Her voice is thankfully coming back very slowly so they believe it was more to do with vocal cords than a stroke so that is great news.
Don says she is sitting up and “feisty” so that is definitely great news.
As for what happened, she was brought into the hospital with a massive heart attack on Christmas Day and then underwent emergency angioplasty to unblock the clogged arteries the heart which was successful.
Hearing from fans would be great medicine for her right now so if you can please send good wishes to:

Oh man, this just sucks. I’m so glad to hear she’s doing better. I met her a couple years ago and had a total fan girl moment (she was really gracious about it).

Oh no! I emailed her for the first time a few weeks ago to tell her how much I loved her books and how excited I was that our upcoming Kensington books were on the opposing page of the K catalogue (lame and fan-girlish but true). she was so nice when she replied.I hope she gets better.

I really hate to hear this! I met her at the Romantic Times convention in Houston year before last. She was a very nice, likable person. In fact, I was hoping she would be in Orlando this year. I believe she had hosted the Strawberries and Champagne portion. I will keep her in my prayers!!
