July eBook Deals: Free, $1.00, $1.99
Buy 2 or more Harlequin eBooks from Sony Store on Wednesdays & you’ll receive a code for a free ebook.
Orbit’s $1.00 title is Hidden Empire by Kevin J. Anderson
The following are Forever $1.99 titles from Grand Central. Grand Central makes these deals available to all etailers who carry the Forever ebooks but not all etailers take advantage of them. I know, WTF. The following are links to the Sony store as that is one place I know that is currently carrying the promotion.
- One Scream Away by Brady, Kate (I’ll be picking this one up)
- Border Moonlight by Scott, Amanda
- Knight of Desire by Mallory, Margaret
- Seducing a Scottish Bride by Welfonder, Sue-Ellen
- Love Is in the Heir by Caskie, Kathryn
Then there are the free deals for the Kindle and Kindle App users:
- Mary Jo Putney’s Loving a Lost Lord (a return to straight historicals)
- Dee Tenorio’s Kiss Me Again
- Lara Adrian’s Kiss of Midnight (first in the Breed series) (and it is also available for free on the Sony thanks, ChristineFlynn, for the tip)

For Kindle: Her Wiccan, Wiccan Ways by Traci Hall
Paranoia by Joseph Finder
Magic Kingdom for Sale – Sold! by Terry Goodkind
His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik
That’s just a sampling. There are quite a few more. A peek at the Kindle bestseller list usually reveals free reads, and browsing those shows even more.

Fictionwise eventually got around to discounting the Orbit/Warner sales titles in May, but not on the first of the month. I’ve long thought that they need to hire someone to keep up with these promos and follow review blogs/twitter to make sure they have popular books in stock. It’s approaching ridiculous that they don’t.

Thanks for letting me know I can use my ipod touch to read the Kindle books. What a great discovery and I read Kiss Me Again last night.

I totally attacked these deals. I bought two Harlequin books for the coupon code(one I was planning on, and another I saw and decided to try because of this special, may get more next week). Also bought Kathryn Caskie’s $1.99 deal, and also downloaded “Darkfever.” I have expanded my horizons so much with these deals.
I’m having one of those “Squee! I love my Sony!” days, can you tell?

Can you tell me where you found the news about the Sony free ebook code? I’m trying to get more info, like when the deal is going to expire, etc.

Maggie – I got the info in an email from Sony:

Books on Board is offering the Kate Brady & Margaret Mallory titles for $1.50 each, and the Sue-Ellen Welfonder & Kathryn Caskie titles are $1.93. They’re also offering additional rewards, making the net cost even lower.
I couldn’t find Border Moonlight at the lower price, but they do have Amanda Scott’s Tamed by a Laird for $3.22, which is more than 50% off list price. They also have some other new and pre-order ebooks at more than 50% off. I grabbed new/upcoming ebooks by Victoria Dahl, Gaelen Foley, Julia Quinn, Leslie Parrish, and Christine Wells for a net cost of about $3.00 each.
