I had a reader ask if she could get the blog posts in her email box. I searched around and found a plugin that allows subscribed readers to get each blog post as an email.

REVIEW: The Orchid Affair by Lauren WilligJane is a long time romance reader whose passion is, you guessed it, reading. She's currently loving contemporary authors like Sarah Mayberry and Karina Bliss but her first love will always be the historical. Some of her old time favorites are Amanda Quick and Johanna Lindsey and some of the new favorites are Sherry Thomas, Joanna Bourne and Claudia Dain. You can reach Jane by email at jane @ dearauthor dot com
Welcome to Dear Author. If this is your first time, you may want to read our page for Readers (this is like a FAQ) or our page for Authors. We also have a handy dandy review policy page for Authors, Publishers and Publicists. We read and review romance books (with a smattering of other genre and non fiction books) from the readers' point of view.
If you want to help DA out and you shop at one of these sites, you can use the following links to give a percentage of your purchases back to DA (usually around 7%):
If you do use these, great. If not, that is fine too.

Thank you Jane! One of the reasons I can’t comment as much as I like is that I miss the reviews I want to comment on. Information circulates very fast and the notification will really help with that.
This is great. I don’t always have time to come by the site during work hours but my email is always up so receiving an email blog helps keep me more updated.
For any readers who don’t know about the wonders of feed readers, we have a post about them on our blog. On the Mac side, “Mail,” the application that comes with the operating system, has a built-in feed reader, and my PC-using tell me that several web-based mail programs also allow for reading blog feeds.
Thanks Jane, that’s very cool. I’ll probably stick with the RSS reader for the most part, but if I’m away from home being able to switch to email would be a wonderful option.
One of the nice things about the plugin is that you can decide what categories you want sent to you. For example, if you don’t want the romance “news” pieces sent, you can uncheck the box next to it. It makes it nice and easy to manage the information you want sent from Dear Author.
I also set the email to send the entire post rather than just an excerpt.
Jane, it doesn’t seem to be working for me. I got the confirmation request and clicked on the link…but I’m still not getting the posts via email. Am I just technically inept?
