@Sweet: The best example of this, I think, is Matthew Haldeman-Time's "Off the Record." There's a lot of lead-up to the betrayal, but the break between the characters and their reconciliation is brilliantly done and both have to work hard for it. It's a pitch perfect book.

I loved this story, it hit all the right notes for me. I’m so tired of reading books, m/m or m/f where one party is wronged and just forgives the other right away. I loved that Seth made Lars work for it. I wish I could find more books like this.

All in all, I adored this story and now plan on glomming your entire backlist.

Keep me posted. I really enjoyed and recommend both of Amara's m/m stories in the anthology Tangle XY, which I reviewed for DA. IIRC, Jia reviewed The Archer's Heart and liked it. Both reviews can be found here.

I haven’t read much of Amara’s backlist, thought her Holiday Outing was pretty good. I liked it more than Carol, TBH.
