@Jayne:
Is there a Harlequin line with flowing money that doesn't feature an asshole hero?
No. LOL!

Really they represent some very old fashioned romance stereotypes and still sell well so the market must be there.

The Silhouette Special Editions will occasionally have some not-ass-hat millionaires and businessmen and the old Silhouette Intimate Moments had more than the usual number of successful men who weren't idiots. SIM also had some wonderful writers who were in the beginnings of their careers, like Nora Roberts and Linda Howard and bunches more. Some of those may be available in ebooks now.

@joanne: I've got two more "Desire" books read so look for those reviews to come. Is there a Harlequin line with flowing money that doesn't feature an asshole hero? I'm not interested in royalty so that rules out a lot of the "Romance" line.

I really enjoyed "The Billionaire's Bidding" a lot. Tried to read the rest and they were either DNF or meh. I think I've tried enough to say I'm moving on. Like you mentioned, her books are a mixed bag. Some parts you like and others you don't.

I'm so happy to see a book from Harlequin's Desire line reviewed. The line has stayed consistent over the years and much of the writing is fine. You ask for rich man and independent woman and the Big Misunderstanding and that's exactly what the reader gets every single time.

Almost always is the scene you describe; the heroine is a money grabbing or pregnancy planning bitch. *sigh* Of course, the hero grovelling is also often very good *grin*

I'll probably grab this one to have on hand for those nights when I'm too tired to follow a complicated plot but still want to read. Potato Chip reader someone called me but the HEA is guaranteed and will take place to the sound of cash & weddings flowing in the background.
Thanks Jayne
