@Helen Brenna I did read First Come Twins and I didn't like it as much as Next Comes Love. I felt bad for the heroine. :( But I am definitely interested in more Mirabelle stories.

Thanks, Jane, for the nice review. I think it's interesting that you'll be reading the first in this Mirabelle series, FIRST COME TWINS, after this one. I'm super curious about your reaction to FCT. Have to warn you ...it's not a suspense. But no babies, or little kids in that one, either. lol

Tricia, I've heard a lot of husbands liked TREASURE. (even one of my brothers!) Always surprises me because I see my stories as so relationship driven.

Many readers have complained about the shorter length and us writers pass that along to our editors. That's all we can do. I can't attest to pre-February 2007 Superromances, but TREASURE is almost exactly the same length by computer word count as all 3 of the Mirabelle stories out here the end of 2009. They've change the margin and font size to accommodate the fewer page numbers. I don't seem to be able to write super short!

I'm a fan of Helen Brenna's. Even my husband read and enjoyed her debut Treasure. I'm looking forward to this one.

Superromance is my favorite Harlequin line, but like you I avoid babies as plot devices where I can. (This isn't easy these days.) And they've gotten really, really short over the past few years--right now they feel like they're the size a Blaze used to be, and part of the appeal of them used to be that they were a longer story.
