Both Maya and Lauren stated that their digitally published books have earned out more than their New York advances.

This is eye-opening. The epub model is certainly working for them! Again, I am in awe and envy of authors who are crossing boundaries, writing for multiple lines/houses/subgenres/formats. Thanks for the recap.

Both Maya and Lauren stated that their digitally published books have earned out more than their New York advances.

But have they earned more with epub or nypub. That is the most important question. Also from what I read at erec etc. Maya and Lauren are the lucky ones, they are with big houses. If you aren't with one of the top three or four epubs, and aren't writing erotic romance you aren't earning a whole heck of a lot. Certainly nowhere in the league of even the smallest ny advances.

I want to epub but only for erotic and only if I can get in with one of the big houses. It sounds like from the reports, there was no talk about the different earnings you can get from epublishing. All epub houses are not Samhain. Unfortunately Yeah its great to get monthly payments but 35% of 20 copies @ 5 dollars is not even going to buy me my lunch for a week.
