I’ve read all but a handful of Balogh’s titles and I cannot think of one with this premise. Would you share titles? I’m really curious because I cannot think of one myself!

I have to admit, I am so tired of this trope. With the bad husband, and the stoic (yet oh-so faithful) wife, and would it really be so bad if the heroine had an affair? I mean, if he’s a cheating, semi-abusive scumbag, and divorce is out of the question, what’s wrong with the heroine discreetly looking for happiness and companionship elsewhere? Instead of crawling up on a cross? It’d be something different, at least. ;)
