Y'know, when I read the excerpt before the book was released I immediately added it to my 'must read' list. Once I actually got into the book, I was pretty disappointed. River and Emma didn't get enough time, and the whole thing felt rushed. :(

I just wanted to say I usually lurk on the review sites, get a feel for what's out there, what people are thinking about a certain book. This site always has insightful reviews without the fangirl squee heard across the WWW. I respect that.

I should also say I'm a die hard print book buyer. I know my purchases at Border's keeps one employee working. With that said, from reading the different articles from Jane about E-books I decided to give it a go. I also know Miss. Sunshine is from another thread about a e-book that shouldn't have been published the way it was.

I can promise I won't be buying any books from that publisher on my shiny new e-reader and that's a shame. I could actually miss out on some good reads. It's the behavior by some of those people or should I say lack of professionalism that turns me off. Thanks Jane for taking time out from your real life and sharing your love of romance books with the rest of us junkies.

Btw I have a full time job and I can read many, many books in a week.

Oh Jane, thanks so much. I always love your reviews. I read this book too. When I read your review, I felt a thrill go up my leg. You're so talented, Jane. I don't know where you find the time to do all the reading you do. I work full time and can hardly get two novels a week finished.

You've helped so many writers. Pat yourself on the back. You deserve it. Good luck to you.

I really liked Red Fire as well, but felt that Red Kiss was all over the place and two very specific characters stole the show. Kassandro's and Emma were lost in this story. I guess that puts me in the minority too!

Lately this sort of storytelling has become a trend rather than the occasional. While some Authors can pull off multiple story arcs without losing sight of the main characters, some just can't accomplish it.

The first book I read by you was Red Fire (which I thought I had written a review for but could not find in the archives).
