What a charming first sale story. I really enjoyed it. I can't believe your book was saddled with a title like Insatiable and Saucy!

Great first sale story

We readers are so fortunate to get the variety and number of new romance books that are published every year. I can't believe the perseverance and the grit it takes to tolerate the amount of rejections many new authors get thrown at them. You're no fraud, for sure!

The video for Forbidden Nights with A Vampire is wonderful, I'm excited about the getting the book because --- Wolf-Shifter!

I'm so happy for the craziness in your brain :-DDD You have a unique, really entertaining voice and it's a style that I love. I have all 7 Love at Stake books and love them (well, at least the first 5 since I haven't had time to read the last to). I just read parts of this interview to my co-worker and she was laughing out loud when I explained the lop-sided eater thing in Roman's book to her. I had to promise her to lend her HOW TO MARRY A MILIONNAIRE VAMPIRE - and hopefully, she'll like it enough that she'll want to buy her own set of books, too! I'm so glad things turned out like that for you Kerrelyn despite the false start.

Love this article and Kerrelyn Sparks! I confess I haven't read any of the historical stuff, but I have all of the vampire books and I love them. Written with a lot of action - good guys and bad guys, a sense of humor that isn't to overpowering, and great love scenes. My favorite is of course the first, How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire, but I think that just may be replaced with the upcoming entry of Forbidden nights - I've always had a thing about shifters! Who would have quessed...

Thanks for this--it comes at a perfect time, my story is similar to yours (without the 'and then went on to be published,' still waiting on that).

Great first sale story!

I have to tell you that For Love or Country is a true favorite of mine. I have re-read it several times and have wished for more ..... I don't think it had the publicity it deserved. It was funny, clever and was a standout for an American historical. I encourage all to give it a try even if American Revolution Historicals are not what you usually grab.
