"Urban fantasy tear jerker"? <em>Tear jerker</em>? That just sounds so small and pejorative for a story about a strong and honorable character. Yes, OK, there were tears, but there was enormous heart and courage; there was Mercy. The best book of the year, in my opinion. Guess you can tell where my vote's going.
