I'd use even less fingers to indicate whether I enjoyed the book. This morning, this book gets one of those fingers. I read the review, was intrigued by the story, ordered it from amazon and it arrived yesterday afternoon. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight. It really was a lovely, lovely story-- yes, it's a tried and true storyline, but it was just different enough and the characters engaging enough that it didn't matter. Very simply, it was a good, solid, well-told story. Unfortunately, the only character who remained immature and one-dimensional to me was Quint. Even at the end of the book I wanted to smack him around. (With even more reason after reading the epilogue, which I know you missed.) All in all, a nice way to spend an afternoon/evening. I have been wanting to try another book by Elizabeth Lane and this one sounds interesting. I'll have to look out for it.
