I wouldn’t say this is a horror book so, yes, I think she’s branched. When I looked her name up on amazon, I saw a bunch of other YA, non-horror looking books.

Interesting! I used to read Caroline B. Cooney when I was a YA. You know… The Fog, The Fire, The Snow and The Return of the Vampire. Scary YA horror. Seems the author has branched out into more contemporary themes? Your review has sparked my old love and I think I will go pick this up after Xmas.
