Thanks for that explanation. When I read a Blaze I expect straight contemporary romance with a sexy kick. I wish their take on gothic, or historic, or whatever were set apart somehow so my expectations would be adjusted in turn.

Hey Jane–thanks so much for reviewing the book! This one’s so old, it totally shocked me to stop by today and see it.

Jinni & Growly…Lottie’s story was part of the “It Was A Dark And Sexy Night…” miniseries, it was supposed to be a Blaze take on a gothic. I loved doing it, sorry it didn’t work better for you!

Jinni, yes this is the Xmas themed one. I also thought Lottie’s story was plain peculiar, but it’s also part of another series that has that more gothicky feel.

I liked ‘Overexposed’ the best and the short story about the oldest Santori in the ’5 Encounters’ book.

I may have given this a higher grade. I thought the sex was pretty good, and this is the best of the Santori brothers/sister series, I thought.

There’s one with the sister that reads slightly like a gothic romance – a little weird (especially that bathtub sex), and one with an oddly named XMas themed town that was just a little weird as well (unless that’s this one, I don’t remember that well).

Ok, I’m now a little freaked out that I have this kind of memory of Blaze books.
