Cynthianna, I hope you do find another home for this one as I think a lot of people looking for a contemporary romance would enjoy it. Cross-genre-ers shouldn’t be punished. ;)

Ah, Episcopalians…Catholic-lite…all the God without all the guilt.

Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes, in which the punchline is, “Oh, yes. That one’s for all the Episcopalians who couldn’t tell the difference between a salad fork and a dessert fork.”

It is a shame that Moonlit Romance is closing its door as of the end of this year. I hope I can find another publisher interested in publishing this story, but the hero being a minister was a put off to many contemporary romance publishers, and since it wasn’t “preachy” it was a turn off to the inspirational romance publishers. There you go–if you write “cross genre” romance or do something original as a writer, you will be punished for it. ;)

But thanks again for your lovely words and I’m glad you enjoyed the story of Jonathan and Kat, two lonely people who find each other in mid-life and live happily ever after. It is possible, and it needs to be celebrated more often in literature.

I was surprised that the Jonathan's congregation would consider selling alcohol at a church function even if it is to raise money for a new educational wing for the building. It's never mentioned what denomination the church is but for any Protestant church, this would be a no-no. At least it would be where I'm from.

I don’t think Protestantism is that homogeneous. I’ve never seen any disapproval when wines are offered for silent auctions at churches. And going well beyond that, an Anglican cathedral may open a string of wine bars in Birmingham, England.

The wine bars would feature stained-glass windows, pictures on a religious theme and be decorated in “episcopal purple” [and would offer] “loyalty cards” for regular worshippers to obtain discounts at the cathedral’s shops.

Dude! We still do some stuff in Latin…ain’t nothin’ lite about that. On the guilt, thought, you’re right – we don’t do guilt. Not institutionally, anyway, although my mom still tries.

I decided last night to try to find the budgetary wiggle room to order a copy of Preaching to the Choir. It’ll be my first e-book.

The copy editing mistakes seemed to slow as the book progressed.

It’s a shame the copy editing is bad on this one. Despite my own relentless typo-making I find it hard to handle in a book – takes me right out of the story. Sounds like a good one, though, perhaps I’ll be able to spring for it before it’s too late.
