Just a side note - I think many employees wouldn't hire a pregnant woman in these circumstances because of maternity leave. (Legally, they can't say they're not hiring you because you're pregnant, but they don't have to tell you why they don't want to hire you.) There's always the chance that a woman would either be unable to return to work after the birth of her child, or would choose not to, plus there could be other complications. In this case, where it is imperative that the restaurant get back on it's feet again quickly, it would be even less likely that they would hire a pregnant woman. Of course in this case, I think everyone is trying to imply that Cal will be jealous if he finds out that Penny is pregnant.

I am listening to this on audiobook, with an hour left to go. I am really enjoying it, probably B or 4 stars. I think listening to the book, brings it more to life.

I read this book quite some time ago and as I recall I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book in the series, but I would give it a solid B.
