I think that sherrilyn kenyon is an amazing writer and i only expect her to write alot more exceptional books in the future, i have read all the DH books to date and granted some were better than others( only because i have my favourites) i was never disappointed by how it was written or how the characters panned out!!

i give all sherrilyn’s books a hefty thumbs up!!!!

That is the only reason I am considering buying the book. I stopped reading/buying her books sometime ago. I fell in love with the first four or five and then to me the wheels came off the train. I know an author has to keep it fresh in order to keep interest up, but when you have to have a spreadsheet as a reader just to keep up with characters then it is out of control and quality becomes a thing of the past. I did buy the Christmas story, Upon a Midnight Clear and I was so disgusted with it, I went and traded it in the next day. I just Sherrilyn would take a step back and take a deep breath and slow down. I would rather have quality over quantity anyday. Keri

It was Sins of the Night that was the first to disappoint me in this series. (Don't remember details beyond that I really hated how it ended). And while I enjoyed the following book (Unleash the Night) -- Dark Side of the Moon, the book that came next, the first to be released in hardback, was the last one in the series I read. Oh, I have the next couple books in my TBR pile. But I bought them used. And just haven't been able to work up the energy to take a chance on them. I thought perhaps I'd gotten burned out on the series, and this year decided to do a re-read from book 1 to see if I should try to reserve Acheron from the library. I got through Sieze the Night, but haven't been able to make myself pick up Sins of the Night again. Reading the "rumor" here though...it's intriguing. It would make it worth lugging around a hard-back book!

I’m definitely curious about Acheron’s story. If it was written contemporaneously with the first handful of DH books, per the rumor Keri mentioned, then maybe it has a similar feel and intensity level. In that case, I might buy it.

Valerius’ story was something of a disappointment for me, but that was due at least in part to my very high expectations for what would be done with his character. I’m not sure I could completely explain why I lost interest in the series after that, but the books that followed Seize the Night just didn’t connect with me the way the earlier ones did.

I got mine just a few minutes ago.
Now I just have to get it onto my IPhone, and I’m one happy camper!Especially since this was the first Dark Hunter book I found/read- and has been my favorite since.

Yeah!!! I got my free download this morning and I can’t wait for Archeron’s novel, I am just hoping that it is as good as Fantasy Lover, Night Embrace and Night Pleasures were. I heard a rumor that Archeron’s book was wrote during that timeframe, so we shall see. Keri
