If you roll over the spoiler black space, you'll see I had questions about this stuff as well. Perhaps there'll be a sequel about Jane in modern LA.

I just finished the book and I feel let-down. The mysteries of Courtney's time-travel situation is completely ignored. What the heck happened to Jane Mansfield? And is C. stranded in 19th-century England?

Mireya, the heroine's love interest is a constant presence either in person or in her thoughts as she tries to work out her feelings for him based on things she's seen, things she's been told and what her body remembers seeing. That last bit makes sense when you read the book. Imagine Elizabeth wondering about Darcy, trying to work out her feelings for him and then doing it by book's end. The main difference being we have no doubts as to what his feelings for her are. The man's in lurve.

Thanks for this! I'd seen this book in the bookstore and thought the same thing -- I love Austen but am SICK of books hopping on the bandwagon to try to capitalize on the trend, most of which do NOT do Austen justice at all. Will now give the book a try.
