I just finished this story today; I tried to finish it in one sitting last night but gave up by 3 am. All I want to add here is a big SIGH. I look forward to rereading this story again and again. I think I need to go out and buy more LC books. I have only read Your Scandalous Ways, Lord of Scoundrels, and Not Quite a Lady.

Thank you so much for this review — I think this review format is terrific! I have only read two Loretta Chase books, Not Quite a Lady and Lord of Scoundrels, both of which I enjoyed. But I have hesitated about trying her other books after reading various mixed reviews. This new book sounds great. I also appreciate the comparison of Francesca to Annique as I recently finished The Spymaster’s Lady and really enjoyed it (except for the totally out-of-character way the supposed super spy blabbed all that info to a supposed stranger upon arrival in England). Oh, yes, Francesca wore sapphires and diamonds!
