But strangely I've bought manga simply because I found the h/h to be beautiful, even if the story is mediocre. I think it might work more with evocative black and white photos or pencil sketches (every couple of pages/chapters) than the full on color stuff. My instincts tell me that readers really prefer their own images (ie in their heads) of the H/h than the instrusion of in-your-face close-ups/ glossy color pics of someone they might not find attractive, nevermind does not match how they imagine the H/h to look.
