Rose and Adam seem like they have a very loving relationship so I could see him doing something like that.

Roberta Gellis-ish ones, where the hardship and brutality and the roles of men and women of those times are just accepted as the reality that they are.

Amen to that because that's exactly whey I love reading it, too. May I recommend to you Ariana Franklin's books, The Mistress of the Art of Death and The Serpent's Tale (just released) that are so far excellent medieval mysteries set during King Henry II's reign.

Dear Jayne
Many thanks for taking the time to review An Honorable Rogue, I really appreciate it.
I loved writing it - from choosing Rozenn's name from a list of Breton names, to doing the research in Brittany itself to get the locations right. The hardest part for me is always the writing, but Ben and Rose knew what they were about from the start, even if I had to re-write it a few times to get it into focus.
As far as Ben's trip to England is concerned, it was in my mind that Rose's adopted brother Adam knew all along what it was she wanted, and did a bit of behind the scenes orchestration!
Thank you once again, for reviewing the book.
With best wishes
Carol

I love, love, love medieval romances. Not the ones that have the ultra petite, silver haired, purple eyed heroine who also can use a broadsword and ride a war horse as well as any knight. But the Roberta Gellis-ish ones, where the hardship and brutality and the roles of men and women of those times are just accepted as the reality that they are.

Anyway, Honorable Rogue sounds like a book along those lines and I can't wait to get it.
