I think it’s funny that Dionne Galace has taken pots shots at so many writers through the years, yet cannot write herself. It goes to show that ripping apart someone else’s work is a lot easier than producing something decent yourself. Personally, I think you were kind. I’d have given the story an F.

I keep wanting to really like her as I keep hearing so many good things, but the tastes I've gotten in anthologies just isn't sparking.

FWIW – Bone Deep is a WONDERFUL read. I’ve read it a number of times now and each time I love it even more.

The one thing I do like about anthologies is that it introduces me albeit briefly to authors I might not already try. I liked Bam’s story more than you did, and Annie’s voice compensates for the story for me, but I’m afraid I’m with you on the Dee story. I keep wanting to really like her as I keep hearing so many good things, but the tastes I’ve gotten in anthologies just isn’t sparking.

Still, it’s one of the most gorgeous covers I’ve seen/bought all year. That would be something I would purchase as a print, if it was available.

I haven’t made it past 7 Days yet, but I rather liked that the story wasn’t about good vs evil, but redemption and that you don’t have to be holier-than-thou to be a good person.

I enjoyed all three stories. This was my first e-book purchase and I’m glad I did it. They provided me the right amount of escapism and pleasure from my everyday life. In fact I looked up Annie Dean’s other books and have her on my wish list. Just my $.02.

And the cover is absolutley beautiful.
