The hero's family in England were Royalists but he was actually born and raised in Sweden so it's not really an issue between the two of them. It does cause tension between the heroine and the hero's cousin who will be the hero of book three in the series. I always feel ridiculously responsible when I recommend a book, and if you hadn't liked it I'd have felt guilty about wasting your time (though not your money if you can return books). The next and concluding book in the series has far fewer misunderstandings (it's a sort-of secret-baby story, except that everyone behaves sensibly, so the baby isn't a secret) and again has an interesting slant on class divisions. I’m glad you liked this one better than the last one in the series.
