Kat who is your favourite vampire author? I was trying to think of mine. I'm not a huge vampire fan so there has to be a lot of buzz in the blog world before I try a vampire book. Anne Rice books go unread to the UBS and I never did try LKH (although someday someone will write a hugely clever slash-and-burn review which will make the book irresistible). I probably most enjoy Kim Harrison's series starting with "A Fistful of Charms". Somehow she doesn't appear to be a candidate for RHD. Greer’s RHD is too funny.
