Thornton's books have been favorites of mine from her early Zebra formula Regency days. Her heroes are always alpha, her heroines are up to their weight, the sexual tension is stellar, and Thornton's voice detailing of the historical period are totally authentic and impeccable. One of her books, Scarlet Angel, is on my keeper shelf.

This was the book that had me searching out Thornton's backlist a couple of years ago. I liked most of those I've found (never quite as much as this one) and she's still an auto-buy for me.
