No! I love the Merry Gentry Series too much! I really enjoy reading about the characters, and the books are just too much fun to put down. Gah, I really don’t care if it turns into 15 books, but ending it? No. No. No.No.Noo!

I read both AB & MG series and re-read the whole series before each new book release. I love both series and will keep reading them until the end. There were a couple in the AB series that were just OK instead of “WOW that was great”, but I still read them every time. Cant wait until June!

i think the prob is its 2 easy for AB lets face it at the mo thers no real crime or that it is ALL SEX so all you have to do is write a fantasy wereas MG needs alot of research ppl will pull u on mistakes. ive read all comments and im on the fence as long as AB gets published ill read it because i love nathaniel and micah, hate richard he a D**K. LKH needs to concentrate on MG its got alot of substance and the sex is valid in her books. Roll on dec

I HAD BEEN HOPING THAT THERE WAS A BOOK #9 FOR MEREDITH GENTRY SERIES BECAUSE I REALLY INJOY IT

My Zumba Instructer is an avid reader like I am and she suggested the Meredith Gentry Series and I was hooked after the 1st book. Im a “series” reader and this is just Awesome that there could be more than 8 books.
I say as long as Mrs. Hamilton can keep the imagination, story line, and the juices flowing- GO GO GO GO!!!!!! Keep writing! its wonderful. Ive simply adore Hamilton and put her right up next to my favorite JD Rob (Nora Roberts) and ALL her “Death Series”.
Thank You Laurell K. Hamilton for taking me places that Ive never explored before. Magic, Beauty, Sex, and Love! Youve hit it all………….

okay enough moaning and groaning I need a fix – for 2 Christmas’ now I have not had a new Merry book and this is unacceptable – I do not care if it takes 50 books to have those babies and resolve all the problems of Faire not to mention is the Hollywood mound now primary and come on twins with six fathers give me a break I need input. I am not alone because there are 4 others that read my copies as soon as I finish that help me brainstorm as to what is gonna get covered next and now there is nothing. My god finally a series that is just enough pornographic to spice up our imaginations with grownups just trying to make things right and the sex brings something back that was lost to each and every partner so it isn’t just gratuidious but necessary. The writing is so good I can actually see the scenes unfold in my mind and they are almost believable. I love Anita but either bring her to full power and incharge of everything or let her retire because she is starting to become hard and brittle even the boys are getting a little dark but with Merry everybody is dark and she is bringing them into the light and making them able to care again.

I’ve been an avid reader for 40 years – I read a lot of different genres. I appreciate Laurell K Hamilton writings and wish to see more Anita Blake & Merry Gentry novels.

Think I would read anything that LKH writes.

Film deals in the making? It would eclipse Eclipse…

I have been a faithful reader and I like both the series, but when I reread the novels, I find myself just skipping chunks of the books when all AB does is have sex. I don’t mind the erotica the first time around, but it gets repetitive and hardly adds to the character development anymore. Then I realized that I could read the books in a couple hours if I skipped all the sex. There is something wrong with that! Please LKH, bring back Jean Claude and move AB’s story along in St. Louis, not on some trip. Oh, and does anyone else want to see her lessen the Edward storyline? he has become as boring as AB. Harsh words I know, but its only cause I’ve become so attached to AB and MG.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont do this to me i live throught merry and anita please keep the books going!!!!! I am a security guard who works third shift and i read your book all night while i am at work ihave tried to read many authors but none have cought my attention like yours have. I am 25 and live with my husband and i take care of my 4yr old and my husbands grandma, i work weekends and have NO life what so ever so any excitement i get is through merry and anith and if i dont have them to live throught i believe that i will be the most lonly and board woman in the world i wish for just one night i could have an adventure like those two women have the most excitement i get is when a rat runs across the building i warok at and scares the crap out of me…. So please for one womans sake keep the sieries going so i wont die of boardom theank you for all the books so far ……

I started reading the Merry series out of bordom one day when my ex left it sitting out… Been hooked ever since!
I say if she can keep the plot going strong more power to her!
I’ll keep reading if she keeps writing.

Plot: awesome

I really started to love the series after book 5, so story telling is good enough to keep going before the plot starts to shine.

A shame that she’s stopping. I would go for more plot & story. I love the imagination. I vote for continuing.

I’m not really surprised that she made this series longer: Anita’s series’s losing a lot of fans (from Narcissus in Chains those novels have not been what I was used to and after Skin Trade I just stopped buying them altogether, and I’m not the only one.) and Merry’s is just getting better, because the main character HAS grown, becoming (finally) a worthy princess of the court, not just a girl who couldn’t hold her own with the other sidhe and didn’t scare anyone. I like it.
And, IF (and it’s a big if, seeing what Ham’s done to Anita, who may have grown and grown in power but is becoming more of a slut and an idiot with every novel) Ham can keep making Merry’s novel better and better with every book added… I don’t mind that there are still seven to come. I’d heard that she only meant to write up to eleven novels, but I trust your news… just one question, cause it seems to me she doesn’t even have the inspiration to write ONE more, when’s it coming out? it’s already been two years since the last one.

I personally didn’t like the AB books though i have tried many times to read this seires because there are a lot of interesting parts in the series. I do injoy the Meredith series very much and i also consider it just as good as the dresden files. but thats just me not everyoone thinks the same way!
