It's a shame she can't feel respect at least for the genre that gave her her start. I liked a couple of her older straight romances, which I stumbled across at a library sale. But nothing that she's published in the last 10 years or so has been impressive -- it's blah women's fiction in my mind. I don't know that I would list any of the books I've read by her in my top ten or even top hundred or thousand best books.

I never got the attraction, but so much of her base are romance readers. It's quite the insult, shame on you Ms. Delinsky.

I read that, and thought it was pretty shabby behaviour from her. I thought about adding her to the list, but realised that there's plenty of authors like her around who are ashamed of their roots. I got some of her books from the library about a year ago, but I couldn't get past the first page. I don't think I'm the Women's Fiction type.
