I *love* reading - and writing - kinky scenes where they're relevant to the plot and the characters, but there does seem to be a growing trend in erotic romance for perv for perv's sake. And besides that, you don't always have to write super explicit for the scene to be hot. It's the mindgame that's important, not the plumbing... Don't mean to seem preachy... it's just something I feel strongly about.
